As it seems this place has stripped me of my students, I have decided I ought to find another one, perhaps two.

[Probably one. He's not holding his breath here.]

If you have any interest in learning glyphcrafting -- perhaps some minor magics as well, should you show potential -- please fill out an application. I have left them at the Clinic with Kate Galloway for accessibility.

[And also so he doesn't have to meet people in person to hand out these things.]

Thank you.

[He notes the word use, but doesn't address it.]

That is interesting, and I wonder why that is. Maybe it depends on the caster's belief in the glyph more than the glyph itself?

[Because if the glyphs themselves have magic that words while in a completely different world and when drawn by people also not from Carlisle's world, then it couldn't depend on something environmental, right?]

[He's both pleased to be on the right track and also at the news itself; if being creatively inclined is helpful, then maybe he'd have some talent at it after all.

And oh, Emily was Carlisle's previous student; that makes sense, suddenly.]

This whole thing is really fascinating, but I should probably stop asking you so many questions. Thank you, though, for answering them.

That's true.

[And an encouraging response.]

It's just usually important to find a balance between asking questions and not annoying the person who might be teaching you.

[He's used to doing the latter; people tend to find him annoying.]
