[ She's been here for, well, almost a whole month now and this is possibly the first time some of you will have seen her!

Eleven has been keeping herself to herself. Trying to work out where she is, what's safe to eat and most importantly, how to use this phone device?

Switching the feed, Eleven's sat there in her gaudish shiny pink squad jacket (she's keeping it by the way! It's kinda cute plus it's warm!) It should be no surprise to anyone that tried to get to know her, to see that she's somewhere outside in the open, away from everyone and everything. The phone is floating as it broadcasts her, sitting there, crossed legged staring at the camera. ]

Can't find friends.

[ She shakes her head a little, a sad expression very clear on her face. ]

I've looked... Can't reach outside of cave...

[ A long moments pause as she took a slow look around. Never having been one for confined spaces, so this cave felt like it was closing in around her half the time. ]

Bad people are here. Everyone hurts. I don't want to hurt... Can I go now?

[ Oh, it's the snack psychic! ]

I don't think we can, but hey--about the friends thing. Why don't you make new ones? Just until they get here. S'what I've been doing.

[ She still can't help the initial joy, then sudden disappointment everytime she see's Richie's face here. Her expression probably showed those emotions too, for a split second at least. ]

Make new ones?

[ Eleven shook her head a little, her eyes full of curiosity. ]

I don't know how.

[It's the girl from before! Eddie had wondered if they'd been quiet or had managed to find a way home and here was the answer.

The topic is enough that Eddie looks a little guilty. He was lucky enough to come to Hadriel with his good friend right behind him. Often he forgets not everyone is in the same boat.]

Not everyone is bad or in pain though, I don't think so anyway. Are you okay?

Hey, kid.

[Aren waves, sitting beside her mabari, who perks up at seeing Eleven again.]

Sorry about your friends; I can't find mine either, but I made some new ones. I bet you can, too. You already have Barkspawn and me. Right, boy? [Barkspawn barks and wiggles, always happy for friends.]

Are you okay? Are you staying with anyone?

[ She recognized Eddie too, gave him a very quick, very faint smile before looking away. When he spoke, she turned her attention back to the screen. ]

Really? I've seen a lot of bad things here.

[ People had been dying, getting killed, fighting monsters. It was all horrible. ]

Mhm. I'm okay, promise.

[ And there was that small smile again. ]

You? Are, you okay?

[ Eleven raised a hand and waved too. Smiling when Barkspawn barked and wagged his tail. She liked animals, now that she didn't have to experiment on them. ]

I guess. Can I try?

[ Still very unsure about how to make friends. All Eleven did when she met the boys back home was hide in Mikes basement and bingo! Friends. It was different here. ]

I stay with Wash... Now and then..

[ other times, she sleeps out in whatever ruin she finds. Still doesn't feel very safe here. ]

[ Break his heart, why don't you? Wash is out of armor in the video, and looks a little worried. ]

Hey Eleven... why don't you come home? I've got something for you.

[oh, it's that girl who wanted the Eggos. poor kid]

Yeah, I can't find my friends from home, either.

[oh, jeez, now she looks like a kicked puppy. that's playing dirty]

No one can reach outside of the cave. It sucks and it's not fair, but that's how it works.

[she is trying to look as trustworthy and harmless as possible]

But there are good people here, too? People who don't hurt? Maybe try sticking close to them?

[oh, my. it's that girl who accidentally exploded the can of fruit in Margaery's apartment]

Do you know if your friends are here?

[and now she looks even more sad. Marg's heart goes out to her]

No one can reach outside of the cave, I'm sorry to say.

[she waits for Eleven to continue]

Not everyone here is bad, I promise. There are some wonderful people, I promise.

[ It's what she does best, isn't it? No need to worry though, she always comes home in the end. ]

Have you?

[ She's not at the apartment as much as he'd like, though, he worries about her when she stays out. Superpowers or no, she's just a kid. He wants to make sure she's clean and warm and eating enough. ]

Yeah. Something just for you. I made it special.

[ She's got better at hiding. Listening and watching too. Truth be told, she's been trying to manipulate her phone device so that she can reach Hawkins... So far it's been nothing but static and white noise. ]

Special... Just for me?

[ Okay, that gets a bit of a smile from her. ]

Eggos?

Yeah. I hope you like it.

It's not eggos, but Kyna made dinner if you're hungry. You should meet her too.

What's a... What's a Kyna?

[ Names are so strange? Why can't everyone just have a number for a name like her!?

Looking a little confused at Wash as he spoke. There was someone else living there now? had he given El's room away. A mild panic filled her chest. Huh, maybe she thought more of Wash and the way he took care of her than she realized? ]

[ She's still not found any. This place kinda sucks. ]

Must be a way... Can't be stuck here?

[ By this point, El's pretty much mastered the kicked puppy look just by sheer luck. She feels bad though, that she's not the only one who has lost all her friends. She'd never looked at it that way before. ]

Like you? You're a good person?

She's my friend. I think you'll like her.

[ He can see the confusion on El's face, that little hint of panic... he's not sure how to reassure her, though, not from here. ]

If you don't it's no big deal, though. Can you get home before dark?

[ She shakes her head. ]

No. Thought I saw Mike... Was someone else.

[ El's kind of heartbroken about that. Every time she see's Richie now, it hurts her chest a little. She doesn't quite understand why yet. ]

Promise? Friends never break a promise...

[ She wants to believe her, she really does! ]

[yeah, it really kind of does]

No, there's a way out. We just--just don't know what it is yet.

[George misses Mason from back home. and she misses Betty desperately. and sometimes, she even kind of misses Roxy and Daisy]

I'm trying to be a good person. I don't know if it always works, but at least now I'm trying.

[ She trusts him, she should at least give this friend of his a chance. Sxrewing her face up as she wrestles the idea of meeting someone new, again. Okay, no, she'll do it. Nodding, a half smile on her lips. ]

Okay. Yes, coming home now.

[ The camera feed starts to get higher and higher as the phone floats above Eleven's head. She starts to walk, leaving the feed on so that Wash could see she was safe. ]

Mike is one of your friends from home? I'm terribly sorry. That must have been disappointing.

[that is so sad. just. so sad. :( ]

You're right, they don't.

[ He appreciates that, and leaves the feed open to keep track of where she is. Which this present will help with, if she likes it... he goes to fetch it out of his room.

When Eleven makes it to the apartment, it smells like food. Something better than the canned stuff Wash would basically live off of on his own. Wash is in the kitchen when she enters, and there's a short woman beside him at the stove, stirring a pot.

Wash switches the feed off and comes to greet Eleven with a smile. ]

Hey. You were safe today?

[ Eleven's phone switches off and drops down onto the kitchen counter with a clatter. One of these days she's going to break that thing.

As Wash walks over to see her, Eleven smiles and nods to him. She's a little scruffy, cold to the touch and her stomach is clearly grumbling. The food smells delicious, she's never really had a proper meal so she doesn't know what to expect. ]

I was. Killed a monster... Felt bad about it?

[ By now, Eleven was looking over at the short woman Wash has in his kitchen with him. Experience of meeting a strange new woman was something El struggled with. There was the bad one, the one who killed Benny... But then again there was Joyce too, she was nice.

El sighed, willing to give her a chance, for Wash's sake at lease. Quickly grabbing Wash's hand and almost hiding fully behind him as she looked over again. Like a frightened, unsure, stray dog. ]

[ Maybe El could find the way out? Maybe she could go into the Upsidedown and look for a route out? No, no, that was a really bad idea. So far, the Demogorgon hadn't shown it's vicious face. El didn't want to risk opening a gate here too. ]

How? How do you try?

[ Her voice sounded small, concerned. ]

I want to be good, too...

Yes... I- I miss Mike..

[ Don't cry El, don't do it! You've been here long enough now! Don't let yourself down. You're used to being alone. You were never meant for friendship, you're a monster, a weapon, nothing more. ]

Find the good people?

[yeah, opening a gate here would be a really, really bad idea. especially if it leads to a Demogorgon invasion]

People ask the gods, mostly. Some people do get out, I know they do, but they don't leave us the instructions behind. It sucks and it's not fair, but. That's how it is. Unfortunately.

[George is definitely concerned]
