I've been stuck in my rooms for three days. I don't have words for how incredibly bored I am. I may well go mad.
So! In the interests of getting to know some of you better, let's chat. I have a question to start things off. What is one thing you wish people could know about you without you having to tell them?
For example, I wish I didn't have to explain that I am royalty. It's a bit awkward, and sounds like bragging, when really it's just the fact of who I was born to. So I'd choose that - or the fact that I prefer red wines to white. Then no one would ever have to worry about serving me the wrong thing. Actually, that one might be even more convenient.
What about you? At least some of you must be just as bored as me.

[ She sassed the King of Dragons once. It was pretty great. ]
You have no idea, dude. Especially I'm not, like, the Hell kind of demon. We're different.
audio;
[The world is less ideal than it should be.]
I can't say I know that much about Hell demons, either. What is the difference?
audio;
[ Rose means it when she says she hasn't good experience with royals. ]
Hell demons are, like, steal your soul and the Devil gets it. My kind of demons are just... born of human fears.
audio;
[Rhy doesn't really believe in anyone being innately bad.]
'Born of human fears'? That sounds quite difficult.
audio;
[ Likewise, Rose doesn't believe anyone is born bad. It's cultivated within them. ]
Tell me about it. My kind specifically are born of the fear of walking mountain passes alone at night. Sounds like just regular superstition, right? Wrong.
audio;
[Rhy is the sort of person who forgives his own kidnappers, so he's inclined to sympathize with, well, anyone.]
So that fear alone gave birth to your kind? That would be impossible where I'm from.
[A pause.]
Well, as far as I know, in any case.
audio;
I guess you got a point. But, yeah- It birthed the first of us and is now what sustains us.
You wouldn't be the first to say it isn't possible where you're from.
audio;
[In so many ways.]
So it's fear that sustains you now, too?
audio;
[ Or maybe she's just been to all the wrong ones. Out of the frying pan only to land facefirst in Hellish fire. ]
Sort of, yeah. I guess in a more general sense, anyway. Walking alone through the mountains at night is still scary, right? As long as people are always afraid of that, my kind will always exist.
audio;
[Not necessarily a safe or pleasant one, but an adventure nonetheless.]
Well, I must admit I've never actually walked through the mountains alone, in day or night. You don't often get to be truly alone when you're the heir. It does sound like it could be frightening, though.
audio;
I imagine you wouldn't, [ she hums, thinking of the dragon king and his lack of an heir. The young dragons fighting for the rights to his throne as he aged... ] It is Not as frightening as walking alone through the countryside though. That's when the Gashadokuro get you, hundred foot tall skeletons that bite off people's heads.
audio;
[He's always been fond of stories like that, even while knowing he couldn't ever really experience it himself.]
Though I suppose we get our share of things trying to bite off our heads here.
audio;
You'd be one of the few! And, yeah, for sure. There's definitely no shortage of things here that could kill you even without yokai involved.
audio;
[Hard, when you're the heir.]
I suppose I'm not really worried about dying anymore.
audio;
-Oh? Why's that? Even if it's not permanent here, it's definitely not fun.
[ Not that she's speaking from experience or anything.
Hah. ]
audio;
[Though that was fun in a different way. He made friends with them, sometimes.]
I haven't found anything that's been able to kill me yet. Not that I'm looking, mind you - but so far nothing's worked.
audio;
What do you mean 'nothing's worked'? That definitely seems to imply trying.
audio;
audio;
Usually, it ain't so bad. Usually.
audio;
I've found it to be quite pleasant here at times. Not always, of course. But the people are fun.
audio;
Hadriel's not so bad, robot menace aside. It's better than Haven. And it's actually better than home, sometimes.
audio;
[He says it without an ounce of mockery.]
Was Haven where you were before?
audio;
[ She's not complaining either. ]
-Yeah, it was. A city kind of like this one with people from all different universes.
audio;
[Not that he hates Hadriel, but living here can certainly be difficult sometimes.]
What was it like?
audio;
It was a city under a dome. Nothing grew there. The soil was toxic, I think- And there were people called the Yao Corporation that ran 'experiments' on us once a month.
