I've been stuck in my rooms for three days. I don't have words for how incredibly bored I am. I may well go mad.

So! In the interests of getting to know some of you better, let's chat. I have a question to start things off. What is one thing you wish people could know about you without you having to tell them?

For example, I wish I didn't have to explain that I am royalty. It's a bit awkward, and sounds like bragging, when really it's just the fact of who I was born to. So I'd choose that - or the fact that I prefer red wines to white. Then no one would ever have to worry about serving me the wrong thing. Actually, that one might be even more convenient.

What about you? At least some of you must be just as bored as me.

But people seem to think that it hurts less, the higher in station you are. Like you have other things to comfort yourself with when everything is falling apart around you.

After. I found a love. We were happy. The so-called gods--they took him from me.

They may not necessarily be wrong. It may be easier to have your life fall apart around you when you don't have to worry about where your next meal will come from at the same time. But I suppose I wouldn't really know.

The gods took him? I thought they didn't kill us.

No. Because when it happened to me, when I had everything torn away from me, my rank offered no comfort.

It had to be them. He wouldn't leave me behind.

I was told they have no control over who stays and who goes. It may be that it was simply very bad luck. Still, I am sorry for your loss.

I certainly hope that you're able to do so.

So do I. Some days, it's all that keeps me going.

Anything that keeps us going is important, but I do hope that you're able to find more than that.

I have. . . friends? [her voice trails off uncertainly] But I'm used to pasting a smile on all of my ills and letting it distract people.

I certainly understand that. It's what we were both raised to do, certainly. But it helps, I believe, if you have at least one person you can show your true self to.

I do have a few, but I don't like to burden them with my problems.

If they are your friends, then no doubt they would like to be burdened. That's how friendship grows, after all.

It's. . . difficult, letting go of old patterns of behavior. In Westeros, trusting anyone, no matter how close to them you think you are, is foolish. Trusting them with your weaknesses is suicidal.

That must be a difficult way to live. I think you can be more relaxed here - not that this is a safe place, of course, but we have less to gain from exploiting each others' weaknesses.

It's exhausting. And less to gain isn't nothing.

That sounds like an unhappy way to live. You deserve better.

...I suppose I do. But the Door or the so-called gods took my love from me, so now what do I do?

Try to find other things that make you have. I've had someone I love leave me before - there's nothing you can really do but continue on.

I know. It doesn't make it any easier.

No. It doesn't.

But I continue on, regardless. He loved the strength in me and so I must continue to show it.

Good. Any reason to go on is a good one.
