So, there are a lot of monsters about the place, right? Not very safe if you're not a fighter. Which I guess means I should try to change that. So, I was just wondering, if anyone has the time, if they're able to teach a guy like me a little self-defence.

I'll warn you that I'm not a very competent person. Well.....actually, I'm not competent at all! However, I promise I'll do whatever I can to pay you back.

Still, with all the hard work everyone is doing trying to survive and leave, even someone unreliable like me should be making an effort to chip in, right?

I can show a few moves, try and help you figure out what your best at? Archery is more my thing, but we all have to start somewhere.

Well, I already know what I'm best at. Unfortunately, it's not something that really improves my fighting skills.

Oh, that's actually perfect. We have some kids like that at Camp, children of Tyche and all. It's not going to help you the same way being really good with a sword would but it's still usable.

Do you have any weapons? A gun? Bow and arrow? I can teach you to aim and shoot, so you can put a monster down before it gets too close to you.

Well, I have a gun, a knife and a pen knife. I'm afraid I'm not very good with either of them. [Well, his luck can cause weird things.]

Let's just say I want to be a little more useful to everyone than I already am. [That doesn't answer the question, Komaeda.] No matter who you are, it's a little inconvenient if you can't defend yourself much in a place like this, right?

So, I'll teach you whatever you wanna' know. I've been training some people in daggers, but also Aikido which is more about defense techniques.

Aikido, huh? I've read about that a little. You think I might be able to do that?
