I have not had very much experience in preparing food in my life. It seems that such a thing would be a good skill to learn at this time. Is there anyone who could perhaps assist me in this endeavor?
[ Alfred is quick to answer the door and offers her a smile as he ushers her inside the apartment that he is sharing with Hvitserk. At the time, Hvitserk isn't home which probably will make learning much easier than if he had been there. ]
[she smiles back and comes in. she's carrying a bag which is holding spaghetti, canned pureed tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and oregano]
Thank you for your kind welcome. Which direction is your kitchen?
Lamb's a good place to start. A lot of dishes can be made with lamb. We might have to substitute monster meat, but with the right seasonings and cooking, we can make still make a good meal.
Ah, that skill I learnt in self-defence - when you have multiple younger siblings and cousins underfoot, knowing how to occupy them becomes inherently useful! But I am glad to share my skill, at need.
But being second eldest just means that you become the next person your eldest turns to when they need help!
Is there a time or a place where you would like to learn? Or even something specific in terms of recipes? Not that I can guaruntee knowing what it is, this place being what it is, but I can certainly try.
That will work. And honeycakes it is, then. I will gather some supplies - we are running a little short, but there are fortunately SOME luxuries we still have! Perhaps this afternoon?

[ And Alfred had been sickly and most of his time had been solitary or with his grandfather or his mother. ]
I am appreciative of any help you can offer.

Why don't you show me your favorite? There is no better time to start trying new things.
