-hello?

[On the screen is a woman, maybe in her mid twenties. When she sees that the feed is on, her face lights up into a wide smile. The shelf behind her has a few bottles on it, and the whole place seems to glow with a warm light.]

Oh. Hello! I'm Delight. Hope has seen it fit to bring me back, and I want to thank you all for your part in my resurrection.

I created this bar for you. The things you'll find in here are safer than the things you might discover wandering around, and I'll do my part in keeping it stocked. Come down if you'd like to chat- I look forward to meeting you all!

Uh, no, it's not that, just...

[Well, no reason not to tell her.]

There's more uses for alcohol than just drinking, that's all.

[At her question he blinks once, reaching up to touch his own face in mimicry of her motion, not even thinking about his glasses until his fingers touch them. Once he realizes that's what she's asking he grins a little, because does she not know what glasses are? That's... Kind of adorable.]

No, these things are just... Glasses. My eyesight's not super great, so they make it better.

What sort of uses?

[She grins back at the explanation. It doesn't make a ton of sense to her, but whatever helps him out, right?]

Can you take them off for a moment, or are they attached? I want to see what you look like without them.

Well um... A whole bunch of stuff. We'd probably get the most use of it as like, an antiseptic or a weapon.

[And since he feels like he should clarify the last part--]

A weapon against monsters, just in case.

[He's a little surprised by the request, but...]

Yeah, sure.

[He pulls his glasses off, blinking a few times to adjust, and doesn't even bother trying to focus on seeing her face in the phone's screen. He could definitely have worse sight than he does, but trying to make anything close up more clear than a vague blur is a lost cause.]

A weapon? [She has to think about that.] Oh- because it's flammable?

[Aw though, what a cutie. Delight wrinkles her nose at the camera, pleased with him being agreeable.]

Does your kind also have things to help you smell or taste or hear better if you're deficient on those senses?

Yeah; yeah, exactly. A lot of monsters don't seem to like fire all that much.

[Wendigos especially, of course. Chris can't really see her expression, but he can hear her tone well enough.]

Hearing, yeah, though I don't think there's a lot of help for smell or taste. We do have some weird stuff that makes you taste like, opposite though? But that's just for fun.

[He always wanted to try that stuff.]

Taste opposite?

[That sounds incredible.]

What sort of thing is that?

I think it's like, a berry or something? It makes things that would normally be sour taste sweet, or something like that, for like an hour.

[He watched a click-bait youtube video on it once.]

I should make those. For the party! I think everyone will like them.

[And it sounds like the craziest idea- she's gonna do it. You only have yourself to blame.]

[This is a lot less terrifying than the last time he was responsible for a god deciding to do something after a conversation with him, so he'll take it.]

That's awesome; I totally want to try it.

Good. I'll pass them out- I know what you look like now.

[She grins.]

No hiding from me, okay?

[The would've sounded pretty ominous from any of the other gods, but not as much from her.]
