[On the screen is a woman, maybe in her mid twenties. When she sees that the feed is on, her face lights up into a wide smile. The shelf behind her has a few bottles on it, and the whole place seems to glow with a warm light.]

Oh. Hello! I'm Delight. Hope has seen it fit to bring me back, and I want to thank you all for your part in my resurrection.

I created this bar for you. The things you'll find in here are safer than the things you might discover wandering around, and I'll do my part in keeping it stocked. Come down if you'd like to chat- I look forward to meeting you all!

Well, for one thing, I have a consciousness that predates my resurrection.

I remember things that happened and I still have the experiences learned from then. Saying that I'm stupid because I wasn't alive two days ago is like saying that you're stupid because you spent a few hours unconscious the other night.

I didn't say you actually were stupid!

[If anything, he meant to imply that she's the crafty mastermind trying to pull the wool over his eyes. A much kinder insult for sure.

It takes him a moment to register her analogy, but he supposes it makes sense enough. In case it'll make her feel better, he offers:]

I'm always just as stupid no matter how much I sleep.

But, wait, if that's like sleeping, was there ever a chance you coulda' woken up on your own?

[Well, maybe she is lacking a little upstairs. But then Firo offers up his retort and it makes Delight smile again, even if the ultimate answer is a negative.]

It wasn't like sleeping. I was- well, I was dead. I just compared it to sleeping because I imagine that's the closest that humans can get to death and still walk around the next day.

You'd be surprised, at least for some of us.

[Most humans, certainly. It's rather different for those who dipped into the elixir back home.

His triumphant smile--he does like when he seems to know something somebody else doesn't know, chiefly because it's a very rare event--is quick to fade after he says that.]

That's not an invitation to mess around with us, though.

It isn't? But you're all so cute.

[She says it more in a teasing way than threatening, but- well, she is related to Fear.]

Are you sure?

[Now he's just pouty.]

Yeah, I'm sure. And we're not cute.

[At least, he isn't. He is super manly.]

I think you're all fairly cute. Especially that little mop of fur on the top of your heads.

[Pointedly.]

It's strange that it doesn't grow like that everywhere.

[He gets the feeling he should be reading into this more than he is. But how?]

[He points to the screen, as if that will help.]

[Reasonably, as if that makes perfect sense.]

You're more comfortable talking to someone who looks like you, aren't you?

I can't say I'd be more comfortable talkin' to you if you were a giant snake or something, so, yeah, I guess.

[He hesitates just a moment. The question he's dying to ask if probably obvious, but is it too rude to ask of a lady? But she did bring up the topic.]

What do you normally look like?

We're much more beautiful than these strange contraptions your kind walks around in.

[Bluntly. Sorry, not that she's calling you ugly, but you're all kinda ugly.]

I'm not sure if your human eyes could perceive us actually, so I don't know how I'd describe it.

Hey, don't sell yourself short. Your 'strange contraption' looks fine to me.

[He supposes this is better than being called 'cute,' at least.]

So it's complicated, huh?

[He shrugs and waves one hand. Firo doesn't do complicated]

In that case, I'd probably just forget about it anyway.

[That's a lovely compliment, thank you very much.]

Smart man. I like you. [A pause, and she leans in a little closer.] Will you be coming to the party?

[What is with people here telling him he's smart? Firo supposes it just says something about how poorly acquainted he is with everyone.

He grins and nods.]

You bet. Like I said, it's been way too long since I had a drink.

Heeey then, I'll see you there!

[Delight winks at him.]

First one's on me- I mean, technically they're all on me, but the first one especially. Alright?
