So it's a bit of a delayed question, but a question nonetheless. )

How much do the gods here know about us? Does anyone know?

What is the Historia Crux? Some kind of portal or vehicle?

( With all the people here from different worlds, Serah doesn't feel too much pressure to keep up the secret of her time travelling. It's not too much different from the way they've all ended up here, after all. )

It's the passage through time.

[ And the more information he has about time travel, the better. Curufin has a personal stake in this. He and his family can never return to their own world, because they are dead in that world. Unless there is some way to tinker with the Door, alter it's time-properties, and make it possible for them to return to an earlier point in time than they departed from -- in which case, it would be possible to alter their fates. ]

How do you take that passage? Is it a magical path? Or does it require some technical device?

These gates only started appearing in my world a short while ago. ( And she's far from an expert in time distortion in the first place. ) But they respond to artefacts - items which are in the wrong time and place. They don't allow everyone through, either.

( As demonstrated by Snow. As far as Serah knows, only she, Noel and Mog have been granted access to them. Caius' path through time remains an unknown to her. )

So, you must have one of these artifacts to make this passage through the Historia Crux?

Yeah. And most gates only respond to one particular artefact.

( She pauses there, and considers her arrival in Hadriel once more. )

I didn't see anything like that here when I arrived. Not even a tear to let us through. I wonder what The Door looks like...

Odd. But I guess different universes manage time travel in different ways? I've only been in a few worlds, so I can't say for sure.

I didn't see any odd objects either, when I came in. Nor have I seen anything that looked out of its proper time and place when I've gone to the Colosseum to greet newcomers.

If there had been a tear, could you have perceived it?

I wonder what the Door looks like, too. Or does it even have an appearance? Maybe it is invisible.

( That's another good point. Time Gates are a product of her world falling apart, and Hadriel isn't anywhere that Serah recognises on either Cocoon or Pulse. That means there's no reason to assume that it would work the same, despite the similarities she can draw between the worlds. )

I don't think so. But distortions in time are usually visible.

( She might have been at this job too long. More importantly, though... )
