But they are native to this world and more powerful than the rest of us.

Call them whatever you're comfortable with. Gods, aliens, parasites, just realize they're more or less in charge because they're stronger. Sometimes they let us make decisions, it's a lot to explain in one shot. Read the guide that came with your phone--

I don't think it's necessary to think of them that way. But they aren't human, and they have more power than anyone who's been brought here. 'Gods' is useful enough shorthand, at least. I don't get into the theology myself.

I don't think you can threaten anyone to get answers here. As for the whole 'gods' thing, I've been in a place that deals with those as well. I'm still not sure I completely believe it.

There are religions and religious people, but I've never heard of any kind of proof there are anything to them.

Religions and belief have led to a lot of death where I'm from, so it's not my favorite thing.
