[There are two failed attempts at posting this photo, both of which are still sent to everyone: the first is completely dark, and the second is half thumb and half dark red hair. The third's still got some thumb in it, but at least you can see what Lilith's trying to get a picture of. In the tiny crack of an open door is the inside of Lilith's apartment. It's not that trashed, which is great!

There's also a coeurl in there, square in the center of the shot.

[mismanagement]

Perhaps it's both? [Maybe. Maketh doesn't know how these things are done on Pandora. She shrugs.] I didn't usually carry weapons, on Lothal. A demonstration of trust in my men, you see. The same reason I didn't wear armor. But I can shoot.

Hope not. Imagine being a human named 'Human'. [These are important thoughts, obviously.]

I hope you don't wind up needing to test that anytime soon. [That raises another question, though.] How many did you work with? You must've really trusted them if you were completely unarmed around them all.

[mismanagement]

I suppose that would be strange... [Though, who knows what the aliens called her? If the Empire had been lax in one area, it was that.]

I hope not. Though it seems likely with this place. [Maketh sips her coffee.] There were two who reported directly to me, Aresko and Grint, and we always had a squad of storm troopers backing us up for public engagements. But it was a remote posting. Not the sort of place the Empire sent its best troopers.

[More like the ones who'd barely graduated or had angered a superior in some way. She grimaces.] I learned to duck. A lot.

The two guys in the mirror, right? [Maketh's not the only one keeping track of mirror people!

Lilith offers her own cringe in solidarity.] Yeesh. I doubt I would've been able to stand that kind of treatment very long. Once anybody started acting out in any of the longer-term jobs I was put on, well...

[well, it's probably easy to guess what'd happened.]

If things start to get dicey, let me know, though. I've got more than one gun, you know.

I can imagine. [Lilith is not a subtle person. Maketh appreciates that about her, though she doubts that anyone like Lilith would have lasted very long in the tightly controlled and regulated environment of an Imperial command.] And I appreciate the backup. I'm not helpless, but I know my limitations.

[cashlin]

Good. [She starts separating off a little wedge of pancake with the edge of her fork.]

Usually I'm all in on going past them, but in this case-- [Lilith pops the slice into her mouth, and continues.] --knowing your limits is a good thing.

[She pauses to chew, and then:] Dude. These are awesome.

Yes, well. I like to know my place in this. I can fight, but...well, not like you can.

[Maketh brightens. Someone likes her cooking!] They are? I'm glad. I haven't made them for a while.
