Your hypothetical significant other also already has everythin'. And they're magic.

[ His tone softens considerably, though he does raise an eyebrow at Barry explaining adult behaviour as if 'adults' are weird creatures you'd see on the fantasy discovery channel. Come on now, he's eleven, and a ridiculously mature eleven at that, he knows this stuff. ]

Have you tried making pancakes? That's what I did when I thought Lup was mad at me.

I mean, both! It has to be both. And, um, I think it worked, but I'm not sure she was actually mad at me in the first place. Either way, you can't really go wrong with pancakes.
