[Poison spends a long while fidgeting with her phone, walking the borders of Carlisle's garden (but not going inside, not while he isn't there). Eventually, she sits down near one of the corners, cross-legged on a low, flat rock, and taps out a simple yet heavily weighted message.]
Do you believe in Fate?

An evil folk indeed. Then - the Heirophant's position is to... protect?

I'm sorry. It's... no. Maybe? In a way. The Hierophant is... like an author. Only the story they create is the world, all the realms, everyone in them and the laws and rules that govern them. We decide what is possible.
[She has never really described it to anyone before. Not thoroughly. Anyone with any kind of creation myth might liken the position to something like a god...
And they would be correct.]

Oh! Now that is a powerful Art indeed. Only Melian was ever able to accomplish such a thing over any great area, and she was a Maia, one of the lesser powers - I've never known one of the Eruhini to be able to influence so much by themselves. You must be very strong. Although perhaps I am wrong - are you mortal at all?

[At one time the question might have seemed like an odd one, but not so much now.] Eventually, I'll have to find someone to replace me.

I hope there are many years before you need to do so!

[It sounds like an insult, but for them it's the truth. Phaeries have no imaginations.]
I hope it will be. The one before me was very old.

[ maglor asks curiously ] I almost pity the Phaeries... to have no imagination... how sad.

[There is not enough time in the universe to soften Poison's opinion towards Phaeries, but they cannot touch her now. Not as Hierophant. And she can ensure no one ever comes to harm thanks to them ever again.]
Don't feel sorry for them. They more than make up for what they lack, and in no way that invites pity.

[ He shrugs ]
I am a bard. [ He says wryly ] I cannot help but pity anyone without imagination, for imagination is my stock in trade! It doesn't mean that I like them.
