I wouldn't be who I am in my home if not for Fate. It guided me when I didn't even know it.

I didn't want to think it was. I fought against it with all my might. But I was proven wrong. When I tried to stop what was happening I nearly killed the people I cared about.

I suppose so. If it's being done right, it's hard to tell that anything is guiding you at all.

Would you want to believe in it?

If I had to answer honestly, then Nope.

I don't want to believe in fate. It's not something I can accept just like that.

It was a hard thing for me to accept as well. I think it still is, sometimes. It's strange to think that the things you do might have that much significance.

It must be a strange place that you come from.

I used to think the same, until I nearly killed all of my friends by trying to fight it. I wanted so much to believe I was in complete control of my destiny that I would have destroyed everything.

Of course, I always had that choice. It was mine to make. But it led me to where I was supposed to be in the end. Where I was always supposed to be.

I don't fight it. I just do. And what I do is my choice, not fate's. The good, the bad, and absolutely the ugly. I have nearly destroyed everything and that was because of what I decided.

That's a nice idea but some of us have nowhere to go.

I think that depends on how one defines 'fate'. I think certain actions make some outcomes inevitable. But those actions are still yours.

I would say that.
You could make one choice or another, but sometimes there is something you must do, to take you to somewhere you need to be.

Even so. Amongst my folk we say that the One draws straight with crooked lines, which is to say, some things are meant to be, if you like - but the way you get there is all your own, and that you made it there at all is "fate", perhaps. You could argue that only you could ever have been the person that you became.
