[while Margaery may be in her usual place in the Sewing Shop, that's not what she's choosing to address. not this time.

sure, she's dressed up as usual, she has her sword laid across her lap and visible in the frame of the video.

she's also not wearing her usual bright smile. instead, her expression is deadly serious]

As I'm sure we're all aware, the demon has been temporarily been . . . put out of commission. Now, this is not the place to debate the wisdom of vigilante justice. Dr. Sweets appears to have that well in hand. No, what this is is the place to discuss what measures may be taken to prevent the demon from taking its rage out on the entirety of Hadriel.

The gods will do nothing. Tranquility told me himself that they will only take action if they themselves are threatened. So we're left to fend for ourselves. We must make our plans ourselves and it would be far better to have those plans coordinated well in advance of its release.

So I am directing this to anyone who has ideas for what to do when the demon is inevitably released back into the populace. Surely there are those with powers or skills which could prevent it from going on a murderous rampage. Now is the time for those people to step forward and offer their ideas.

They will not. Atem and I approached Tranquility asking about methods to keep it from harming others here and we were told that they will only intervene if it attacks them directly.

[Jo shakes her head.]

That's stupid. We need their help.

[Margaery heaves a sigh and looks a bit weary]

They do not care. In truth, I think they like having the demon around. It regularly provides feasts for Sorrow, Fear, Rage, and Confusion, so why would they intervene to curb its baser instincts?

It's more work for Hope! [Jo sighs quietly. This is all ridiculous.]

And if she's allowed to do whatever she wants, hope will die.

Ah, but also more hope for Hope, that their murdered friends will be returned to them.

The demon already is being allowed to do as it likes. It's many things, but stupid is not among them and I'm sure it knows that attacking the gods directly would be a step too far for them.

And when Hope runs out of energy to resurrect everyone? They'll have a revolt.

[She shakes her head. They might think this is a good idea, but it might bite them later on.]

If she thinks she can do whatever she want, she might try it.

As though they care what we do. They provide the food, the electricity. If we revolted, they could simply take those things away and wait us out.

I almost hope that it does. After all, Tranquility did say that that would be the only set of circumstances in which they'd intervene.

If we all died, they would die too. [It's like that war thing. Mutually assured destruction.]

We'll just have to make sure she understands her place.

We wouldn't all die. Enough would surrender after the second week of going hungry and having no "conveniences" like electricity that it would barely put a bump in their feeding schedule.

The trouble is, none can seem to agree on what that place is.

We've lasted longer without all of them. [Though she does plan to step up her hoarding. Again.]

I'm pretty sure it's Hell. Unfortunately, we can't seem to get her there.

Yes, and that's a shame. But they'll never let it leave. Not willingly.

That's still not a terribly long time. My father lay siege to Storm's End for over a year. They were reduced to boiling the leather covers of books for soup. They were on the verge of eating their own dead when a smuggler slipped past the blockade and broke the siege.

Never needed to go longer here. [She shrugs. If everyone cooperated, maybe longer. Who knows.]

Hopefully it wouldn't go that long.

If we chose to take any kind of action against the so-called gods, we would likely have to. [and that's with the assumption that everyone would be in on it and be willing to share in the sacrifice, two things she highly doubts would happen]

I hope it won't come to that. [She'd pray for it too, if she believed in a god.]

As do I. That sort of situation could prove nightmarish. [as would Margaery]

I hate to say it, but we should plan for the worst.

Yes. It's unfortunate, but it may prove necessary.

We'll need clothes, if something happens. You seem to be helping with that already.

Yes, but there's only so much that I alone can do. I'd need more assistance.

Yes, Sansa helps me frequently and does her own work besides.

How much fabric do you normally need? Are you good at remaking other clothes?

A bolt of fabric is generally enough for one garment, depending on what kind of garment it is. A simple shirt would take far less, a gown such as I prefer would need far more. And I've done that a time or two, yes.
