[Anyone who's talked to Krieg at any length might have a fairly good idea as to why the message comes out the way it does. For anyone else, it has the look of someone who more or less bashed their head against a keyboard, an assessment that would not be far from the truth.]

[Loud, loud, ouch, she should definitely have turned the volume down for that. Lilith flinches at the noise, but her eyes light up with recognition as soon as she sees Krieg's face! Er, well, mask. But it's probably not the sort he was hoping for.]

Whoa, whoa! How'd we get a Psycho in here? You are not flesh-stripping anybody today, I swear to-- [she stops short. The name "Firehawk" doesn't really ring any bells to her-- but it sounds like more than just typical Psycho raving coming from him.] --yoooou know me, don't you.

You're with Axton, right? And, uh, presumably me, too?

[The visible part of his face falls a little bit when he realizes she doesn't recognize him, remembering belatedly that Axton did say she had some kind of amnesia-thing, doesn't remember any of her newer murder-friends. That's sad!]

[He waves one hand in front of the screen emphatically, like that might jog her memory.]

"Big boss", huh? I kinda like the sound of that.

[Sorry dude. Still no dice. This does sound about right-- whatever bizarre Psycho metaphor Krieg's speaking aside-- so she'll go with her assumption being right.]

I don't know what he's told you, but you're from my future. The Door that brought us here brought me from... uh... earlier. Or something. I probably shoulda asked the gods about this already.

You don't miss us?

[Somehow witnessing it directly is a bit more upsetting, even if he had the means to mentally prepare himself. But if it means she won't kill him, that's probably for the best. He's a good Psycho! He - he tries to be good. As best as he can.]

We're not good liver-friends??

[No one's been buzz-axed or exploded. She'd count that as good. She smiles, apologetic.]

If I'd met you before this, I'd miss you, probably. Trust me, I'm as confused as you are.

[And she definitely isn't gonna kill him, either.]

Axton says I counted on all of you, though, so I believe him.

[Krieg puffs out his chest a little, proud despite himself. The fact that both Axton and Lilith trust him enough? This is great! Before they know it, they'll be the nice murder-family they've always been meant to be again!]

Metal-buddy spoke good kind things? We can be the best of partners!

[Her grin widens. Clearly, Krieg's pleased-- and so is she.]

Sure did! Vouched for you all the way. Partners it is.

We'll share the prettiest meat-pies!

[Okay, Krieg. Getting a little creepy there. But he's just so damn happy.]

Uhm... make sure they're animal meat-pies, and we got a deal.

[Alliteration aside, he's on a strictly non-human diet, as of post-Maya. Entirely too much red meat for one man, but when has that stopped him?

He practically vibrates on the spot.]

[Krieg is... weirdly excited about this but okay.]

Third spire. [She figures it's easier if she tells him where to go: she's not sure if she can get a location articulated clearly out of him.] Call me when you're around and I'll bring the stuff down to you. Deal?

[Thiiiirrrrd spiiiiiire all right. He's not mathematically talented by any means, but he can figure that much out. Counting to three isn't really math, it's Sesame Street, and besides, he's pretty sure he lives in one of the Spires too.]

IN TWO TICKS, M'LADY!

[He does indeed shamble on over to the third spire obligingly, and yelps into his device once he approaches the approximate destination.]

Are we there yet?

[Welp. That's loud enough that she can hear it from the outside almost as clearly as she can from her phone. Lilith doesn't respond over the phone, but she does stuff a cloth bag full of dried meat and make her way down the couple flights between her apartment and her, apparently hungry, new friend.

She's outside with the whole in only a couple minutes. She's also... more than a foot shorter than Krieg, and has to strain a little to look up at him.]

Hiya, stranger. Good to see you in the flesh. [Lilith holds up her bag.] Order up?

[So, basically an enthusiastic "hello friend!" He's used to stooping a little bit to look at almost everyone, especially Salvador, with the notable exception of Brick.

He can smell the meat from here. And it smells good. He reaches to accept the bag eagerly, his visible eye widening.]

You're the best firebird on the house!

[She'll take the Psycho-speak greeting: the sentiment comes through even if the words are jumbled.

Lilith hands the food over with very little hesitation. Funny, to be this casually sharing food with a guy she'd have shot on sight otherwise.]

One of my neighbors left, and he did a lot of hunting. It's all yours, and there's more where that came from if you want it.

You'd share the raw staple?

[Lilith. Man. You are the best. He really did mean it, because - because man. He's just really missed good meat.

In fact, why even wait? He wrenches off his mask - the face beneath is alarmingly ordinary - and tears off a strip of jerky to start wolfing it down.]

[Alarming is right. She'd almost expected a skag-like mouth or some kind of trunk under there.]

You seem like an all right guy, all things considered. Come get me if you need a hand with anything not meat-related too, okay?

[He tosses her an enthusiastic thumbs-up.]
