I know things are rough right now, and that we're all preparing for - well, for war, maybe. And I don't want to diminish the importance of that, or the work that anyone is doing. We need to be ready for whatever happens.

But I think we've all been a little stressed lately, and there's nothing like a shitty work-life balance to kill productivity, you know? And - it may not be midsummer here, but it sure feels like it.

So. Two days from now, there will be an Ice Festival in the imported housing district, outside building 4-3. [ It's just her backyard. This is very professional, it's fine. ] Anyone is welcome. I only ask that everyone maintain a minimum level of civility. If you have a beef with someone, leave it at the door.

Food and entertainment will be provided, but if anyone knows any ice spells and would be willing to help out, please feel free to volunteer.

But I was referring to the first. I've - lived for approximately one hundred and thirty years.

[ Which is not quite the same as being 130 years old. ]

[ Anything goes, really. That's what she's learned, hearing stories from everyone else's homes. ]

Those in my own world are lucky to live half as long, I think, and they should count themselves lucky to have aged so gracefully as you.

[ Smooth, Dany. Lucretia's eyebrows shoot up at the unexpected compliment, and she laughs, surprised and pleased. ]

That's very sweet of you to say. But no, it's not normal at all. My story is, ah, a bit unusual. [ She tilts her head to the side, curious. ] Have Lup or Taako ever told you about our time aboard the ship?

[ You have to get used to some level of flattery when anyone could be out to Get you, though she still hates the game. ]

No, not really. [ It's all very vague, and she hasn't worked to pry. ] And you needn't tell me yourself, if you'd prefer.

[ She laughs, a little embarrassed. Maybe Dany's right. This really isn't a story to be told over the network. ]
