[ The room behind her is ensconced in darkness, and only her face and neck are visible, lit only by the cold light of her phone. She's clearly apprehensive, and uncertain, filled with new doubts, and worries.   This is not a post she had ever thought she would have to make, but now, with Hope announcing the safety of the temples (safety that comes with a price, she believes), she has no real choice.  She swallows, suddenly all nerves. ]

I know it's tempting, but... [  Is there any way to say this where people will listen? ] don't use the temples, don't hide in them.  If you have to hide, then pick a building, find a room, and hunker down.  When the Darkness comes, you might have to move, but... [ She licks her lips, expression pained for a moment before she shakes her head, as if giving up on something.  ]

This is for the best.

So, I should continue to sit on my hands because people are going to get hurt? You mean like when they buried us alive? Or when they had us eat human and turned us into wendigos? Or when Fear brought out all our fears in a fun hallucination fest?

[ she's as angry as she is upset, face twisting as tears prickle her eyes, lips trembling as she attempts to keep them pressed in a thin line instead of a deep frown. ]

People will get hurt as long as they're in this place!

How is what you're doing any different? Like, I really doubt you woke up and went 'wow I should put a bunch of people in danger for fun' or something, but the result's pretty much the same as when the gods do it. I get you're mad, but I think this is just going to hurt people that don't deserve it while the worst thing that happened to the gods is Hope gets a few grey hairs.

[He gets it from an emotional standpoint, just not a logic one. Still, that means he's a lot less angry than he had been about her starting this whole thing--you don't always think clearly when you're mad or scared--but that's only about her starting it. If she keeps it up, even after having a chance to think it through, it's a lot less understandable.]

I get what you're trying to do but I don't get why you have any reason to think it's going to work. Is there something you know that you're not telling us, or what? Because like, right now it looks like you're doing something just to do something without thinking about who might get hurt.

[Well... Okay. She's technically right. It's possible maybe she really could do something, but he really doubts it if all this is is spooky fog and monster attacks. Somehow he doubts that'll bother the gods too much other than stressing out Hope.

But he doesn't think she's going to change her mind, either. And while he feels tempted to ask why she's so suddenly decided he should go to the Temple when she'd been telling people not to before, he's not even going to bother right now.]

[ Don't worry, Chris, her view on the temples hasn't changed. The dark, bitter part of her hopes that every single person that steps foot into those temples suffers. She hopes that they never leave this place. She hopes they never even get the chance. ]

[Well that's true; Facebook does suck. And he could answer the question but he doesn't think it's necessary, because she really does sound set on a goal and, hopefully, not going to just change to spite and keep all this up even if it proves to be totally ineffectual.]
