[ The room behind her is ensconced in darkness, and only her face and neck are visible, lit only by the cold light of her phone. She's clearly apprehensive, and uncertain, filled with new doubts, and worries. This is not a post she had ever thought she would have to make, but now, with Hope announcing the safety of the temples (safety that comes with a price, she believes), she has no real choice. She swallows, suddenly all nerves. ]

I know it's tempting, but... [ Is there any way to say this where people will listen? ] don't use the temples, don't hide in them. If you have to hide, then pick a building, find a room, and hunker down. When the Darkness comes, you might have to move, but... [ She licks her lips, expression pained for a moment before she shakes her head, as if giving up on something. ]

This is for the best.

Okay. I'm biting. Why your way instead of through the temples?

Because going to the temples just gives them what they want. Personally, I'm not a big fan of giving gods what they want.

Personally, I'm a fan of living.

Then don't die.

Some of us don't do well with fighting monsters. Not enough to spend the next who knows how long living in a what's probably literal hell.

1) This isn't literally hell because that would make me literally the devil, and while they liked to call me a demon, I'm 100% human.

& 2) That's why I said find a room, and hunker down. This isn't a place where taking on the monsters is the greatest of plans. As long as you're not banging pots and fucking pans around, and keep out of sight, most people should be entirely capable of surviving.

If I could survive this place at 11, with not a single fucking ability or combat skill, you can survive it now.

1. Are you the ruler of this place? Calling it in doesn't make you the ruler of it. Even if it was literally hell, you'd still not be the devil.

2. It's not like I have any abilities that are really useful against monsters either. Surviving for a day? Two maybe? That's one thing. Potentially weeks though? Or worse? Just as a fuck you to the gods? I'm not suicidal.

1) It's less ruling, and more a tied existence. The statement stands, though: this isn't hell.

2) You really think this will last weeks? Or more? I don't really want to deal with the bitching you people are capable of any more than I have to, or the death threats.

And it's just as much a fuck you to the gods as it is an attempt to do something more.

2. Sounds like a fuck you to everyone at this point. You couldn't do something more without putting people at risk?

You don't want bitching? Don't do shit that gets people hurt just to piss off the gods.
