[So what was going to be a post about gathering up supplies for jams and pickles and all of those wonderful things, comes out as an abomination.



[Good luck hearing anything he's saying with all of that loud rap and obnoxious airhorn noise in the back ground.

The video goes on for a horrifying five minutes as Hakkai thinks he's calmly asking the citizens of Hadriel for their help in gathering up jars and sugar to preserve some of the produce. But it's all reputation destroying and image ruining goodness.]

Doctor Victor Frankenstein, [ he introduces himself, offering a hand for Hakkai to shake. ] Pleasure to meet you.

[He takes his hand and shakes it politely.]

It's nice to meet you as well.

Are you a medical doctor?

ACTION

I am. Specifically, I am a surgeon, though I have experience with more general forms of medicine as well—diagnosing fevers, treating injuries, things of that nature.

[ whereas Victor is all business, mirroring that smile with a wry expression of his own. ]

I'm not in charge, however. That would be Dr. Bruce Banner. I just help out.

[He looks over towards a chair.]

[He calls over his pet dragon who comes to perch on his shoulder.]

[ Wait now hold the phone what now? Victor can't help but pause because that looks like a dragon. But it can't be a dragon.

Whaaaaaaat. ]

What exactly is that thing on your shoulder?

He's a dragon.

[And a Jeep, but he left that part out unless it was necessary.]

Hmm. In my world, such things can't exist.

[ he's just rolling with this, why the hell not, okay, dragons, sure. This is absolutely bonkers, but Victor has learned to roll with the bonkers. ]

That's something you'll get used to eventually here.

[The dragons looks mildly offended at being called a 'thing' more than once.

Hakkai just keeps smiling.]

Would you like to continue the tour?

Indeed, I do.

[ He'll just put aside the bizarre dragon thing for the moment. Priorities, after all. ] Please, lead on.

[He continues on, showing him the medical supplies, some machinery, the beds, the office area, etc etc. All of that fun stuff.]

Miss Kate is here more often than I am, she runs more of the administration side and you'll want to talk with Doctor Banner so that he knows what you can offer. I know they'll be glad to have you since you can perform surgeries.

[ Victor can't help but perk up a little bit when he mentions Kate. Oh! Victor's met her before. ] I actually met Miss Kate when I first arrived—she showed me around. A very remarkable young woman.

Oh good! You've met then.

She's very hard working. I'm really glad that she's here. She's an impressive fighter as well.

[He doesn't dish out praise like this all the time, but he feels she deserves it.]

I met those reptilian monsters when I first arrived. What other sort of monsters does the city hold?

[ Because really, that's important. How much have vampires managed to incur into this world? ]

[He places a hand to his chin and thinks.]

There are quite a bit. Most of them stay in the caves, however. With the new arrivals of people, new monsters come in.

[SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE "MONSTERS" SUCH AS HIMSELF, BUT NOT GETTING INTO THAT.]

I've encountered large spiders with knife-like legs, a monster that looks similarly to a emaciated human that is impenetrable but weak to fire, large bats. They range from humanoid to more bestial.

I wouldn't encourage hunting them down unless you have special abilities.
