[ Dean is making this brief for a variety of reasons. But he sadly doesn't care enough to make this anything but video - audio and text just seem like far too much effort, and so Dean can be seen boozing it up with a half empty bottle of whiskey he received from the gods.

It was a surprise to me as well. He's always kept me at arm's length, so it's never been an issue before.

He believes that I'm touch starved. This is his solution. It's hardly the first time that he's tried to find me female companionship.

She just needs a minute to facepalm at Dean. Not. The. Solution. I mean, who hasn't tried to get a friend laid, but that's usually just taking them to a bar and pointing out anyone making eyes at them. ]

What would that solve? It would only make our relationship more precarious than it already is. Dean isn't attracted to me, nor would I ever expect him to be.

There anything else that would make him back off this getting you laid thing? [ She doesn't know Dean well enough to give a recommendation on that. Apart from maybe finding him a fuckbuddy. ]

I don't think so. Perhaps the adoption of the cause by someone else, or the belief that the task had been performed.

Admitting the true origin of my indiscretions can't be the only solution. It can't. You're human, surely you have some other suggestion?

Also, by virtue of never having had a boner, this is really not a scenario she's ever had to smooth out before. ]

I would tell them to confront their issues, that honesty is always the best policy.

It's much too complicated for that.

Dean's friendship is all I know. If this feeling, whatever it is, imperils that, then I don't want to have it.

Concentrate on the other things you have. Spend time with other people. [ or, in the terms she very nearly typed: she kept herself too busy to think, like she usually does. ]

[ well... there is something to be said for one night stands, although even Kate has just enough tact to realise that this situation is not the best place for them. probably. ] Just hanging with friends is fine. [ and if she were anyone else she'd add that obvious invite that you can drop by whenever, cas. ]

[ She's seen enough people, enough friends, try and get over breakups to know a little bit about this, even if it's not the same situation. ]

I don't think there's anything that needs fixing. As uncomfortable as it feels, ensuring physical distance has always been part of the terms of our relationship. I'll just make sure that we don't play Twister again.

Although perhaps I need to try playing it with someone else.
