Yeah, I thought that might be the case. [lloyd sighs a little, disappointed despite himself. he hadn't honestly expected to find any here, he would have noticed before now if this place was using exspheres for anything. and he supposed in the long run that was a good thing, really. it just felt like he wasn't getting anything done.]

Sure. [he bobs his head agreeably. lloyd does a lot of things agreeably, to be honest.] Protozoan's live even longer than that. And uh. Elves live a pretty long time too? I don't know if they live that long though, I never asked Genis or Raine.

But Kratos wasn't a Protozoan or an elf. And he had wings? [lloyd, you have wings now. sometimes, anyway.]

[Nick does not have wings, even in her Morphus form, and she's not met any Nightbane who does - but then again, she hasn't met many other Nightbane, just those who sought refuge in the same hotel where she ended up staying after being stalked out of the hostel she initially chose.]

Half elves, actually. I mean, I met plenty of elves in Heimdall but they weren't exactly a friendly bunch.

Genis and Raine are great though! [and he brightens pretty noticeably at this, always eager to tell people how awesome his friends were.] They're both really smart. Genis even got invited to some special school because of it.

So contrary to popular opinion, elves are not jolly. Got it.

Okay so maybe the angels and elves were all mostly jerks. [it's important to note that a) lloyd is including his dad in this list and b) that 'jerk' is honestly an understatement when it comes to most of the angels.]

But I still don't know what electricty is and I did just fine without it so obviously it can't be that important.

Well, usually it doesn't, unless you're dumb enough to go and get yourself electrocuted. But - I dunno if you noticed, it's a fucking blizzard outside, so without heat and electricity, I'm just not liking the odds for surviving it.

[shockingly, lloyd does a decent enough job of reading from context that he doesn't ask her what being electrocuted is, but it's a close one. instead, he gives her a slightly concerned look with a tilt of the head.]

That's what fires and blankets are for. Are you cold? Because I have a whole lot of bear skin blankets and stuff from my first month here if you need one.
