[Somehow, reading that hurts more than Sam expected. Chris died back on the mountain, and Sam didn't have time to grieve for him, or Mike, or the rest of their friends who didn't make it out alive - everyone except her and Emily. And it was fine, because they were all alive here, even the twins. Almost like that nightmare never happened.

Does death hurt any less if it isn't forever? Sam can't really say that's true.]
