Accidental Video; Horrible Roommates Being Horrible

[The video turns on haphazardly, staring up as if someone had flung it across the room and accidentally turned it on. Which, incidentally, is exactly what happened. There's a red glare as Kylo's lightsaber comes into view. He slashes at someone just out of view, missing them, and instead taking out part of the couch.]

I've had it with you! I'll make you wish you'd died as a child!

[Then his toe hits the video, sending it spinning and landing in another spot.]

Oh like I'm going to be scared of a pathetic version of Darth Vader. You have no idea how many times I wanted to abandon you on Hoth.

[There is a loud clambering as Hux got out of the way and when the video settles he can be seen with his blaster in his hand, eyes shining with a mad fury.

He raises the blaster and fires a few shots aimed at Kylo, but a few shots hit the walls and destroy the couch.

Kylo blocks the blaster shots with an almost contemptuous ease, his lightsaber twirling in front of him in a back and forth pattern. He stops the last shot in midair, sending it sailing back towards Hux.]

Is that the best you can do? My mother is a better shot, you Tarkin-wannabe.

[Now he was just hitting below the belt.]

[Hux barely manages to dodge the reflected blast, which hit the opposite wall, leaving a deep mark. He's back on his feet to fire a few more shots with a growl of fury. He doesn't care where they land, he just wants to make Kylo suffer.]

Oh, please, you just sit and talk to your grandfather's helmet. 'I will finish what you started' - that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. You're just an embarrassment.

[Kylo goes very still for a moment, the video's skewed perspective making him look about seven feet tall. Everything nearby him begins to rattle with the power of the Force. Then, with a roar of fury, they all lift up, and began hurling themselves at Hux.]

I have more power than you could ever dream of! You think firing off your little superweapon gives you power? You're nothing. Just a bastard who got lucky.

[Hux's expression turns ugly, he's spent his entire life being called a bastard no matter how much he tried to put his past behind him.]

My little superweapon? The superweapon I could use to command the power of the stars when I destroyed the entire Hosnian System? I destroyed the Republic, their Senate, and their entire fleet in a moment while you sulked like a litt-

[He paused suddenly as he noticed the device, walking towards it.] You idiot, you left your phone on.

[Kylo looks over his shoulder at the phone. Great. They'd just broadcast that entire argument to the network. Now everyone knows about the Hosnian System. With a frustrated growl, he picks up a nearby lamp, and throws at Hux's head, not caring if it actually connects or not.]

This is your fault, you smug moron.

[Their physical altercation is done. The bickering is far from over.]

You are sleeping like a married couple. [Are...they? If so, they need counseling. Badly. And often.]

He said he died much later than he should have. [And did far more damage.]

I suppose we are. He likes to steal the blankets. [Hux remarked in a flat tone, raising his eyebrows. It's not like either of them was willing to sleep on the couch or move out of the apartment so there was really no other choice.]

Mmhm. He died 19 years after your time. [He finished folding his clothes and sat on the bed to look up at Anakin.]

...is that sarcasm, General? I hope for your sake it is. [He scowls at the flat tone, dissecting it word for word. Is marriage - if Hux is not being a prat - destined to be miserable for all Skywalkers?]

He should have died before I was publicly known as Darth Vader. [What happened to interfere?]

He really does steal the blankets. It's annoying especially when it gets cold, but we're not actually married. [Hux could barely resist the urge to roll his eyes, he thought the whole thing was ridiculous.]

I wouldn't disagree. The galaxy was stable after the last of the Jedi were dealt with.

[He twitches but then...relaxes. There's that at least. Marriage...romance...seems to be cursed for them; not that Ben should always be alone!]

I'd rather he be...happy with someone. Not tearing apart an apartment over them.

[Anakin turns to the window, pushing open the curtains slightly.]

I wasn't killing him for the galaxy's sake.

Don't worry, he's not my type.

[He watched Anakin carefully, trying to read him. He was entirely unlike Ren in many ways, similar in others but he was still trying to figure Anakin out.]

I don't know what your motivations were but you did end up killing him.

I'm not asking. [What an awkward conversation that would be! He sighs faintly, paling as he tries to push back memories of...the life he led before. It's almost gone now.]

He was my Master when I was a Padawan. He saw... He knew what I have become. I expected him to seek me out.

He didn't try to stop you when you first became Vader? [These were details certainly not included in any record and Hux was curious to know what he could find out. He would still be careful, he could tell that this was a sensitive subject.]

It seems strange he would wait 19 years.

He should have; he would have. Ben mentioned that I wear a mask... [He touches his prosthetic curiously.] Why would I need one unless something happened?

Few would be able to fight me. Obi-Wan would be one who might stand a chance.

Your injuries were said to be extensive as you wore a full suit. It was said that Darth Vader was more machine than anything else.

[If Anakin wanted to know then Hux would be honest with the information that he knew. He wondered why if Anakin was hurt so badly, though and Obi-Wan clearly walked away from the fight he didn't understand why Obi-Wan just hadn't finished the job instead of letting Anakin suffer. It didn't seem like a Jedi thing to do.]

That would explain why your injuries were so extensive.

That's comforting. [He quips, smirking to hide his fear. The sarcasm has become a habit; yet another shield he can erect when life ceases to make sense to him. Anakin has stopped dealing with reality; it is the only way nothing can hurt him. He must delude himself into thinking he can overcome it all.]

You think he did that to me?

Perhaps. You said Obi-Wan was the only one who could challenge you so who else could have caused your injuries?

[There is no sympathy in his voice or expression, he doubted Anakin would have wanted it.]

It would make sense that he would try to confront you as well.

... [It hurts to think... No, he knows that must be the truth. Obi-Wan will not only betray him; he will maim him. So much for the bond they shared!]

I will relish his death. [Yes. If he says it enough, it might be true.] He hates me and I...hate him!

[He couldn't speak on Obi-Wan's behalf but he wondered what Obi-Wan had actually been thinking when he walked away from a dying Anakin. He doubted he could ever understand the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan though.]

You killed him 19 years later.

He must have hid himself well. [His voice is broken, hoarse.] He would have known it was inevitable after...

[It should be inevitable now! his brain screams.]

If I see him here, I will finish him off early.

[Hux said nothing for a moment, only watching Anakin.]

You may find that difficult if he does show up here- death isn't permanent here. Apparently one of the gods has the ability to raise the dead once more, making it as if they had never died.

Then I will kill him again and again as he deserves! [His voice rises, quavering on the edge of sanity.] He has tried to turn Padmé against me, I know, but she won't listen to him. I won't let him interfere anymore!

[He recognized that tone of voice, he had heard the same note that was the edge of sanity. It wasn't something he could- or would- argue with.]

It seems the gods like our galaxy, with more of us arriving. There is a chance he could show up soon.

I look forward to it. [No, he fears it. He fears it with his entire being. The air is heavy with his chaotic emotions, but thankfully nothing moves.] Hadriel will see a proper battle on that day.

I have no doubt. [Knowing Kylo, Hux wasn't sure if Anakin really was telling the truth. But he wouldn't call him on it as he would with Kylo.]

I appreciate your assistance with my clothes. We should finish organizing to take things over to the new residence.

You have far more belongings than I do. [Anakin glances around.] I can see you like to keep neat. It will not take you long to move.

[Now Ben is a different story if the sitting room is anything to go by.]

I think we can do it in a couple trips, especially if Kylo can use the Force to move the kitchen things.

I'm used to being neat, I was taught to be so from an early age.

If he has the control... [Kitchen utensils will do them no good in pieces.] Obi-Wan instilled neatness in me, though I wasn't bad when I was with my mother. She wouldn't have stood for a messy room or house.

Re- Ben and I have a deal that if he does the cooking and dishes that I will keep the apartment neat. I'm much better at the cleaning than he is.

[Because Hux knew if he let Ren clean then he would be doing it over again himself.]

My nanny droid taught me, I grew up in a military academy so I wasn't allowed to be messy.

Seems fair. [But now he's waiting for Hux to give him duties. Go ahead. Try.] What happened to your mother?
