( Beth had meant to post this anonymously but that hadn't ended up working. Oops? )
It doesn't suck any less going through it more than once.
This place gets more fucked up every month.
( Someone's bitter. She also isn't sure she wants to know what the hell her double did after killing her )

[Since you're not anonymous at all and it's pretty obvious you're not okay.]
wolfie's downstairs if you'd rather stay in or whatever

Let's go out.
text > action
[And so she is, heading downstairs after grabbing a jacket. She refills Wolfie's water bowl while she waits, scratching his ears when to pass the time. It's relaxing.]

Hey.

( Not that Beth really knows what'd be good and what wouldn't, but she appreciates Emily right now )

A little bit of walking in silence later, she glances over at Beth.] So are you okay or..."
no subject
I don't know what okay is here.
( When you're not being attacked or scared or murdered #funtimes )

[Dark humor, y/n?]

( MAYBE )

[ :| ]
I've died twice here. It sucks. Both times were because I was transformed and basically had to be put down.
[Not a good time. Her memory of the last few moments as herself are always full of the terror of knowing what she was becoming.]
no subject
( Beth knows about the second one but the first... Should she ask? Is that really a conversation route she wants to go down considering where it could lead to? )
I didn't transform into anything.
( Or she could just do it herself. Y'know )
I woke up to me killing me.
no subject
That's really fucked up.
[Emily tries to picture it. A monster coming after you, only the monster is you.
So creepy. She shudders.]
But like, just so you know? Sometimes there are good events. That doesn't make this any less fucked up, but it's something to look forward to, I guess.
no subject
( Or maybe she's just being extra negative because dying is the worst )
no subject
I mean, what else is there to look forward to. Going home?
[Where any of them could die, and Beth and Hannah absolutely do die?]
no subject
( Because hey, surprise, she's definitely dead )
Here's the only thing left.
no subject
[Whoomp, there it is.]
I mean-- why would I want to go back to a world where you and Hannah aren't there?
[A world where, if she were to talk at all about Hadriel, she'd end up committed to a mental hospital?]
no subject
( Though she didn't miss the past about her and Hannah. She appreciates it, Emily, that you do care -- that they're real friends now, though she'd still rather you could have a life and be awesome )
no subject
[Guess who's not from the end of the night.]
I don't know for sure if anyone makes it off the mountain.
no subject
( Because god, if Emily has anything going for her it's the fact that she's determined and won't quit )
You'll make it.
no subject
[Dun dun duuunn. Even though it means a lot that Beth thinks that, facts are facts.]
I mean, I'll fucking try. Like, I won't go down without a fight, but those things-- wendigoes. They're terrifying.
no subject
( But yeah, she knows how terrifying they are, and she doesn't envy Emily having to face them again )
no subject
[Wouldn't that be something, if she could do magic at home? She could get everyone off the mountain safely. She could rescue Josh from Hannah-- from the wendigo.]
If I do go back, I'm going to do what I can to survive.
[She wants to say it's for the sake of her friends here, but that seems a bit dramatic. She will, however, keep Beth's faith in her in mind. It means a lot to her.]
no subject
( If only there was a way for her to change her fate too, but she was dead not just for them but Beth remembered it too. She couldn't change that )
You sometimes make stubborn be a good thing.

Did I tell you what Glacius told me? He said there might be a way for all of us to go to a world where we're okay. There could be a way, with the right technology. [She pauses for a moment.] I hope that's true.
