Third ☂ Text

Many of you seem to be unhappy.

We don't all necessarily want you to be happy, but acceptance and adaptation to your situation would be a start. The only question that remains is: how?

It is clear to us that your species resolves many issues through communication. Unfortunately, none of us understand the human psyche as clearly as others of your species, and so I leave it to you to communicate with and to help one another.

You may consider this post an open forum in which you can discuss what's been bothering you. In turn, I will conceal your identities, so that you may help one another without preconceived biases. If you'd like to reveal yourselves to one another, the option is there, but unnecessary.

Heal. Recover.

I'll leave you to it.

[a, soon after the post goes up]
Perhaps a kinder gesture would be to leave us alone, rather than torment us with ridiculous ideas. Or to explain what we must do to be sent home, permanently.

[b, later on]
If your clones had not been so malevolent towards you, would you have still sought to destroy them?

Why do you believe they were so violent in the first place?

Absolutely not.

Distorted as he was, my people are never supposed to fight with one another... and... that might have been the only chance I have to reconnect with a member of my species.
[The whole thing was an atrocity that weighed on Glacius more than he's admitted to anyone. Despite how awful his double had been, in a strange way he feels... poorer for his loss.]

[This is not an answer he expected. And it's - fitting, to him? Is it? Pokemon should not fight, not like this. Were there other species that thought the same?

He has no idea how to be comforting, if that's what they're supposed to be doing. But...

What has happened to the rest of your species?

Oh, they are fine. They are just not here. [Which is both a blessing and a curse. Glacius would much prefer not a single other member of his race show up in a place where they are to be used, abused, and tormented--it gives him a sort of solace to know that they are far away in another universe, safe and protected at the same time that he aches every day for their absence.]

I did not have a clone, but if I had and she wasn't especially malicious, I think I would have welcomed her into my home and treated her as a long lost twin sister.

It would take a lot of self-hate to try to destroy one's clone if they were not being malevolent toward us first, would it not?

[Self-hate...he wonders if the same is true for a clone trying to destroy its original. Or perhaps he shouldn't wonder. He had been full of hate, and anger, and loneliness. It had been all that he existed for, once.

He thought himself more mature now - the hate squashed, the anger dimmed - but it still boiled up inside every now and then. And now. But he had not quite considered it self-hate, at least not with that phrase...self-hate...

A person could be afraid of their clone surpassing them.

[Or a clone could be afraid of their original.]

That may be true for some. We are all individuals, after all.

If my clone surpassed me, I would simply aim to surpass her in turn and hope that we would make one another stronger by training together. Personally, I think challenges should be embraced rather than avoided.
