Many of you seem to be unhappy.

We don't all necessarily want you to be happy, but acceptance and adaptation to your situation would be a start. The only question that remains is: how?

It is clear to us that your species resolves many issues through communication. Unfortunately, none of us understand the human psyche as clearly as others of your species, and so I leave it to you to communicate with and to help one another.

You may consider this post an open forum in which you can discuss what's been bothering you. In turn, I will conceal your identities, so that you may help one another without preconceived biases. If you'd like to reveal yourselves to one another, the option is there, but unnecessary.

Heal. Recover.

Organizing such a dissimilar group of creatures - many of them human, at that - is not so simple. We will need more than empty platitudes. [Cmon, Prussia, give him a real plan! Do the thing!]

my words won't be empty. i just need to come up with a plan. i need to ask what's been tried in the past. so i know what hasn't worked and how it can be improved or put aside, first

I have been here for a few months, but I have not seen many attempts at organization.

...in part, this may be due to the alterations and trials we seem to go through every few weeks. We have less control over our emotions and actions than usual.

[Not that he....wants to talk much about that...but if it's honesty hour, and they really are trying to get something done, then he'll bring it up. He guesses.]

In the months that I have been here, I have seen the city besieged by demonic creatures and its inhabitants driven mad by senseless rage. One of the 'gods' was also able to transform our surroundings - to create a group illusion of another land altogether. It lasted for over a week.

When did you arrive? I have noticed strange patterns in newcomer waves as well.

[Well this all sounds horrific.]

They are capable of manipulating both our minds and our environment. And even, it seems, this intranet. The code for it is undecipherable. [Not that Mewtwo would try and hack into anything. Obviously.]

[You deserve to be celebrated for punching a fuckin' shark, Prussia. Forgive me that my character does not find that as impressive as he should. Still, he supposes that's cool. You know. Low-key cool.]

Yes. That it will. [This is...weird, but...he sort of maybe half-believes in this guy. He seems determined, at least, and not a huge dunce. That doesn't mean that Mewtwo is on his side, per se, because that's more commitment than he's willing to give out right now, but he...is enjoying the conversation.]

Each group of newcomers arrives approximately one month apart. They are always accompanied by some form of monster.

Except, I believe, for my group. We arrived in far greater numbers than any subsequent wave, but after several days, many of us were taken away again.

that sounds pretty weird. but that probably means there was like a glitch with the door or something? or maybe someone did something to it that made it act differently

A glitch

[He hadn't...considered that. The gods doing it, or someone else doing it, yes, even a mistake made by human(ish) hands - but what if the Door were more technological in nature? What if there was a way to glitch it? What if that glitch could get them home?

One of the gods apologized for it. But that does not mean that they were truly responsible. [Also, they totally weren't actually sorry anyway, probably, so.]

A glitch, a mistake, a whoopsie, a fuckup. someone asleep behind the wheel of. whatever it is, it's something we might be able to take advantage of!

[He has to trawl back through the network data that's been archived onto his phone - since he didn't actually bother talking to the god in question, because talking is for squares I guess.]

oh i was at the bar but idk if delight was there at the time. otherwise i probably would have had a few dozen questions for them. guess i need to go back. i could go for a beer anyway
