Many of you seem to be unhappy.

We don't all necessarily want you to be happy, but acceptance and adaptation to your situation would be a start. The only question that remains is: how?

It is clear to us that your species resolves many issues through communication. Unfortunately, none of us understand the human psyche as clearly as others of your species, and so I leave it to you to communicate with and to help one another.

You may consider this post an open forum in which you can discuss what's been bothering you. In turn, I will conceal your identities, so that you may help one another without preconceived biases. If you'd like to reveal yourselves to one another, the option is there, but unnecessary.

Heal. Recover.

I wouldn't drink it now, no. Not unless you want to be here for the next six to eight hours in a dreamless slumber. It might be a bit cold by the time you return to your apartment, but the enchantment will still work, should you drink it.

[Note to self: find a way to make this stuff portable for those who cannot enchant the tea themselves.]

[Marian reaches over to pull the bug across the table, careful to not let the paper over top slip off. Regardless of the method used, 'dreamless slumber' sounds pretty good. Time to get back to her apartment and lock herself in. Assuming it works (and why wouldn't it, after the healing she'd seen), the only question remaining was: ]

That's fine. And you don't.... want anything in exchange?

[Asked less out of suspicion and more uncertainty over what she could even offer.]

I don't believe you have anything I want.

[Apparently, he thought the same thing. He changes his mind only half a second later:]

Although... you remember that odd plant I had with me last time we met? I... lost mine recently, and if you should come upon another somewhere, I'd like it.

[Marian looks a little blank at the request. Well... as unlikely as it seems that she'd find another, it's innocuous enough. Though it's very situational, she supposes she might as well ask...]

When and where did you last see it?

Days ago. I have—

[No, correction:]

... had a garden atop one of the stores. It burned. I lost it along with the others.

[Which might be why he's glued to the bottles of liquor near him.]

Oh...

[Too late for a minor favor, then. Marian's fingers curl around the warm cup of tea, and after a brief hesitation, suggests:]

If there's any small incident like that again, I might be able to help. Not much, but a little. I would just need to know sooner rather than later.

[That's about all she can really say. A couple people have seen her device's power in action, but that doesn't mean she wants to go spilling details if it's not necessary. That's just one of many ways to end up with trouble you don't need.]

But if I see a similar plant, I'll let you know. ....thank you.

[Sooner rather than later. He doesn't know what to make of that, but he will take what help he can get.]

[It's just a plant Carlisle... though by how distraught he looks, plants apparently mean a lot to him for one reason or another.]
