Okay, I guess I'm a little overdue for this-

My name is Quentin Coldwater. I'm a magician. I used to teach at Brakebills, and for a while, I lived in Fillory. I've got a pretty good grounding in physics and mathematics, and interuniversal travel. Normally I would consider myself able to claw my way out of this shit, but no dice this time.

Is there anyone here who knows anything about any or all of the above?

Ugh, I know. I spent the last four years in London. [the truth] I thought the heat was going to kill me.

Not exactly. Jobs are more like volunteer things than "I'll give you money" things.

Exactly that job. Turns out there is a need for it, even during an apocalypse.

Well, I guess whatever passes the time, as long as you're enjoying yourself.

I plan to. What about you, though? Find something that's interesting?

Still working on the exit strategy. I'm not willing to make myself at home just yet.

Oh, right, with the interuniversal travel question. Anyone have any leads?

Yeah, I'm making a little headway. Not enough to make a break for it, but able to start inquiries.

Mind if I tag along when you do get outta here? You can drop me off in my world on the way.

Uh- you can't actually make pit spots between timelines like that. But there might be a way to figure it out.

And if all else fails, I'll be somewhere that isn't here. Isn't here sounds like the place to be.

Better than I am. Creative writing was never my thing.
