Ohohoho Barry, no wonder you're having trouble! You have to carefully consider the person's affection statistic in situations like this, or y-you might get rejected! See, first you talk to them and get them to talk to you, and that'll raise it, and then when they show interest you can give them low tier gifts like things that are practical but cheap, like armor polish and spear kits.

Well you just kind of have to know. It's an intuition thing! Or you can just track how many conversations you've had, though some are a little more c-complicated than that. I think even if her affection level for you was hurt in some way, it's come back strong enough that you want a high tier gift! Something to r-really seal the deal and end the route!
