[Aside from having a new--or maybe not new, but different--hat that may have suffered a little bedazzling, Connor looks pretty much the same as last time he spoke on the network. He has something somewhat less abstract to talk about this time, but it's even more serious.]

Although the Clinic is well-suited to the needs of many here, and that's a great accomplishment in this situation, it's unable to provide assistance to a portion of the population that needs non-standard medical treatment.

[Mostly, as far as he knows, that's a problem for individuals who might be mechanically-based, although he isn't ruling out that there might be other types of beings he doesn't know about who also can't be helped with standard medical treatment. So he's being general right now, trying to account for everyone, which also helps in keeping things vague as far as individual people and what they might need.]

Because worlds vary, finding those with the skills they need to help these people might be difficult, but at the very least we can make sure those who can't go to the Clinic have the basic supplies necessary to take care of themselves. But again, because worlds vary, we won't know what all those supplies are unless we compile a list. I know there's an option on these phones to hold private conversations, if anyone may be concerned about giving specifics information about themselves, so supplies on the list can be added mostly anonymously.

[With any luck that means he can add some things to the list himself and no one will know who they're for. He'd like to avoid ending up in a situation in which he bleeds to death from an otherwise treatable injury just because there's no thirium available here.]

Additionally, since necessary items are likely to require making arrangements with the gods, if anyone is willing to help with that please let me know.

[Okay, as against the whole 'doing things for the gods' as Connor is, at least those first tasks seem pretty tame overall. Talking about an experience that causes a strong emotion, or calming someone down--or, really, inspiring any other emotion in them since he doesn't actually care about making someone angry or something, it's more the principle of the matter in that regard--doesn't sound so bad. It definitely relieves any sense of guilt he might've had about people volunteering to make deals themselves.

But the last part of that is... He's not sure what the emotion it causes him to feel is, actually, but perhaps unsettled? He doesn't like it, whatever it is, even if Atem apparently volunteered.]

be prepared they dont trust easy and they are different to most of us. their customs their ideals their physiology you name it
they have different personalities too not all of them will want to make small talk

[This is just so out there for him; he's used to being ignored outright by like 90% of humans back at home, and with it feeling like a similar dynamic of those here being used for a purpose he really hadn't even considered that any of the gods would be willing to entertain conversation with them.]

[He resists the urge to immediately say that there's only so 'not as bad' that beings that abducted a bunch of people to use them as batteries can be, mostly because that didn't go over all that well in some other conversations and he doesn't feel like annoying someone who's actually being useful.]

It doesn't speak well of this place that it would require being a member of a minority group to consider something as basic as medical care for them.

I have heard that, yes.

I understand how that might be easier, especially for supplies that aren't widely used, but it doesn't seem very practical if there's an emergency.

[He's getting more comfortable with the idea that he wouldn't be immediately murdered or anything--not like he would've been back home--if he tells people what he is, but he keeps seeing more and more evidence that pretending to be human will get him taken more seriously and give him more sway on issues. The fact that the issue of basic medical supplies hasn't already been resolved says that to him all on its own.]

[Whatever is wrong with Atem's friend. He doesn't want to pry--or, well, he does, but he doesn't think that'd be a good choice--but he is immediately a bit concerned, especially since he knows several of the non-organic people here and so it might be someone he's familiar with.]

No, but I'm familiar with the technology in my world, including the mechanical-based species there. Repairs are not my area of expertise, but I can handle the basics.
