[Lance looks a little over life at the moment, which most of his friends probably recognize as his standard look when not being purposefully professional. He's not bothering with the latter right now, both because he's a bit annoyed and because he thinks it would be pointless, so instead everyone gets normal, slightly bitchy Lance.]

Okay, I wish I could say that I can't believe I have to remind people of this, but vigilante justice is not exactly the best idea here. Not only is it morally wrong to just declare yourself to have the authority to decide who is and isn't deserving of 'justice', but it's logically wrong too; you're just going to cause problems, not solve them.

I'm not saying not to intervene when something's actively happening, but going after someone days or weeks later is just starting the whole process of retaliation all over again. So can everyone just take their egos down a notch and, if they're concerned about someone being an active threat or something, work on coming up with some sort of solution that isn't going to make things worse as soon as it's done?

[This is not the first time he's had to go into this discussion while here--or at home--and so that's why he's being extra short about it. He's also not just talking about the recent incident, it's simply what prompted him to say something this time.]

An unavoidable hazard, in a place as small as this one.

[In a place they're all but forced to deal with one another on a daily basis... a place where the actions of one person can have their impact on everybody, no matter the intent.]

And I would posit that being angry about it holds little use, either. The cycle needs to be stopped somewhere.

You're right; anger is a useful emotion in itself but only in certain situations, and this isn't one of them unless it can be directed into coming up with a solution.

[Instead of just taking over and causing people to act on it without thinking.]

Fortunately we have a month before Caedra will be an issue, so there's time for emotions to settle.

[Lance is correct, of course, but the emotions of those not currently frozen in ice don't strike Ignis as the ones most worthy of concern.]

It may be worth placing someone on guard near to her when the month begins to come to an end. Someone who can talk to her, or restrain her if it becomes necessary.

[Despite his feelings on the subject, and Caedra herself, he would hope that restraining her would not be necessary. It could easily exacerbate the situation.]

There are some plans for something like that, and hopefully it'll be enough.

[Or, if they're really lucky, it'll be completely unnecessary and everything will go smoothly.]

[If they're really lucky, she'll just never thaw out. That would be Ignis' angle of luck, in any case.]

Has this mysterious vigilante said exactly why they were prompted to attack her?

There's only so sure I can be of a plan with so many variables.

[Especially since he's not directly involved, and he's a bit of a control freak.]

They haven't, no. Nothing beyond what was in their post.

[Ignis could sympathise with that, at least. He prefers to be in control, and being here often tests that to its limits.

Like now, when the flickers at the edges of his vision push in again and he's momentarily distracted before he answers.]

[And he means that, even if he doubts he'll take Ignis up on his offer. But Ignis also seems distracted a bit, and so it's probably best to let him get to whatever he's thinking about, especially since everything important has been covered.
