So everything has sucked recently. Back home in Montana, when shit got rough we'd always get together and have a big bonfire. Get drunk, make s'mores, all that stuff. It didn't make things better but at least you forgot about it for a little while.

Worth a try right?

[He sounds like he's honestly asking. He's trying really hard to be positive for once.]

I've got some graham crackers, chocolate, and other things for roasting. No marshmallows though so if anyone wants to come through in the clutch it would be appreciated.

I'm lighting this up tonight at dusk, so if you want in, be there. I've only got so much to burn and it might not last more than an hour or two.

That's kind of what marshmallows are all about. There is no healthy reason ever to have a marshmallow, which is what makes them even more delicious.

Come try some s'mores. Since we may never have the stuff to make them again.

Yes, the so-called gods seem to provide us with few comforts beyond what is necessary to survive. A pity, this place would be far more tolerable should they provide them.

I already put in a request for coffee and candy. The coffee seems to have happened but I dunno about the person who used to run the coffee cart.

I think she disappeared.

[her expression sobers] Ah. Emily. Yes, I think you're right. We were to share the Sewing Shop as she originally started it, but I've not seen her in quite some time and she's no longer on the contact list.

The delivery coffee was nice while it lasted. I wonder what happened to her cart.

[and her expression grows slightly mortified] I believe that Sal was going to take it over, but I've not seen him in a while.

Judging from what everyone else has been saying it was something these fake gods did. Something about blowing up Fear's temple triggered it.

Mmm. The so-called gods. They're not happy unless we're all miserable, at each other's throats, or worse.

Well we're their batteries. You'd think they'd take better care of their livestock but..

[He snorts, he doesn't really want to think about them when he's trying to enjoy his roasted sugary treats.]

Least it's over for the moment. Until we wake up tomorrow and something else batshit happens.

But they're incapable of even the smallest social niceties, let alone taking care of us.

Well, while it's over, let us try to enjoy ourselves while we can! It means more when it's not provided by them, but pulled together through our own efforts.

Shove it in their faces that we don't need them for everything.

Because they know we need them for survival. It makes them smug.

Insufferably smug. As Queen, I had to deal with smug courtiers all the time and these so-called gods out-do even them.

Can't you pull rank? I feel like a queen is above a pretend god. Or should be anyway.

[Not that he expects them to respect that, but it would be something at least.]
