Tomorrow afternoon, we're hosting a class on the clinic on how to stabilize an injured person and then safely move the body, in an environment where the dead come back to life and where there's no serious expectation of sophisticated medical care.

It's going to be utilitarian and potentially grimly upsetting, but I suggest anyone with any kind of a stomach for it come to the clinic for noon. If you're conservative about touch, please bring a partner who you trust to manhandle you in body-lifting exercises. Of course you're welcome to opt out of that portion of the day, if need be.

Please bring donations of any medical supplies, if you can.

If you're new to Hadriel in the last couple of months, I'm Doctor Banner, I'm one of the clinic volunteers. I'm not technically a medical doctor, but since we lost Doctor Pierce, beggars can't be choosers. We've already covered wound care, risk of infection, and stitches and suturing. I'm happy to link you to that material, go over any of it in person, or continue stitching lessons for anyone who needs a refresher. You should also know, he's incorporeal. I took a swing at him once and dove right through.

He's incorporeal. He can manifest- but he's like smoke.

I mean, he just kinda said 'okay, not a problem' and let it go?

[He supposes- he does try to be as open as possible.]

I have a condition where I berserk. When anger sets me off, I experience a physical reaction that turns me into a dangerous... creature, and I lash out at anything in my surrounding environment until the rage runs down. So whatever he had to say about it- I missed. I came to eight hours later, half-naked, unconscious under a half-smashed wall.

I know a couple of guys like that. You don't really look like the type, but I guess as far as I've seen, not looking like the type is the type. You normally just tell people that? Not that I'm critizing, just—that's the kind of shit that could get somebody run out of town.

[He points out, but sounding much, much more tired than amused.]

Back home, I handle it differently, but here, everyone will learn sooner or later. I've been here eight months and had two incidents. The more informed they are, the better.

I've learned that if I panic about that not being enough, the turmoil makes me lose control faster.
