Hey again!!!

Hope just told me that he'll be able to resurrect another god by the end of the month! I guess everyone's been sort of letting you guys pick who we get to bring back, right? That's so great for you guys! I'm glad we're doing it this way, I'd definitely hate to have to be the one to choose between my friends...

Anyway! Your three options this go-round are:

Confusion! Again... poor Confusion. She's pretty cool, actually- I don't know if you guys knew this, but she's the one who made the tunnels all around the city! I think Hope was going to try to get her to make a clinic, but since you guys seem to already have one of those up and running, I think it'd be more helpful to make what you guys have been calling a, um, GPS? She could make it so you guys could find one another, even if you're in the tunnels, and you'd be able to tell when someone is gone from this place. Super cool!

Love would be your next option! Last time Love was up, you guys got the choice of hot springs. I still think that's kind of important? Everybody loves (haha) hot springs! I could see about some nice soaps and things too if you want? Love and I aren't super tight, but there's usually a bit of overlap between love and delight so I'd super appreciate voting that way!

And last and newest is gonna be Sorrow! Sorrow is a good guy, he's the oldest of us and he takes care of us. He's really responsible... so I think he'd definitely like to bring something in that can help you guys out. Maybe a really big garden and orchard, across the river so there's more space. He'd have enough power to make sure it was big enough to feed a lot of people, so Hope wouldn't have to make so much food. Doesn't that sound nice?

Don't feel bad. Manipulation is pretty much the go to rule of thumb for all worshiped deities. It's like a right of passage or something.

Why the little rules of this world. Such as that delightful game just played, the one with the dreams? Was that just a little 'input' or did you all not derive something from our roiling emotions?

We did, but- it's not like we can just choose not to.

In all honesty this conflict you four are engaged in doesn't particularly worry me. Emotions don't affect me the way they do humans.

Humans have a need for all emotions, Dad sort of built it into them. It could be argued that you and your three brethren are merely the physical manifestation of struggles that have been going on since mankind first drew breath.

Goes along with the idea of Free Will.

That does raise the question though; is that what's going on here? In this bubble outside creation? A physical manifestation and conflict between the emotions of mankind?

[ But back to the subject at hand. ]

I played to you, in that little spin on the emotional wheel, because I enjoy the decadence in life and you're the steady source of alcohol in this place.

We're not manifestations or representations or what-have-you. What we are is separate from what we gain power from.

[ Though it could be argued that Lucifer takes it to an extreme. It could also be argued that he's starting to learn more about emotions (particularly his own emotions) than he'd like to admit.

So when she moves on, he's going to roll right with that change of topic. ]

[ His tone is ... his tone but there is a shade of genuine curiosity in the question this time, rather than his usual mockery. ]

No... that's not quite true. I can tell.

[Quietly. But she continues anyway, answering his next question with a fair bit of uncertainty.]

I'm not sure if I can explain it exactly... you feel things while we're nearby and it gives us energy. Do you know how humans eat and sleep? And then after all that, they can do all sorts of things- like run and open doors and swim? It's like that.

[A pause.]

Though- not with the same limits. If a human eats too much then I assume they explode. I don't think there's such a thing as too much happiness for me.

[ He's still dubious as hell, though perhaps not quite as aggressive as he was in the beginning.

After all, he does like Delight. ]

In my side of creation there were these little gods known as the First Ones. They fed off the wishes of mankind and were quite the gluttonous lot, never satisfied. Good thing that mankind can't quite ever stop hoping wishes will come true.

What is your end game here, Delight? Where do you and the others see all this going?

Well, I suppose our endgame is reviving our fallen. After that- I don't know. Try to send you all home, I suppose.
