Yeah. Delight is the best. She's still fucking with us to gain power, but at least she does good things.

That makes sense. If her name is Delight, she'd want to do things that make people happy, right?

Yeah, that's what she lives off of. She's also actually really cool to talk to. Such a sweetie. If there's anything you want, try asking her first. Her trades are the least likely to be fucked up.

Well, like, I have this thing going with Delight where I tell her a happy memory and she gives me a bolt of nice cotton to make clothes with. Things that give them power, basically.

Yeah. Depends on who you're dealing with. Delight's pretty harmless. [She may go overboard on the making people happy thing (her revival was... fucking exhausting, honestly. But she's okay.] Fear is... I'd be wary of him. Rage too, unless you like pissing people off.

How do you know they're not trying to take advantage of you? Even Delight?

Oh, no, they totally are. It's not a secret. They feed off the emotion they're named after, no matter how fucked up what they try to make us do is. I like Delight, though, because at least what she wants is good for both of us.

Are you sure about that? Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, it's just - I've dealt with people like that before. People who claimed they wanted what was best for both of us.

I didn't say it's the best for both of us. It just works, most of the time. [She's aware that sounds weak, even naive. But god, she's been here too long to care, in some ways. Delight feeds off her happiness, and happiness is so hard to come by.

Delight has made her a fucking drug addict. Fabulous.]

They probably don't give a shit about us at all, but they need us alive in order to stay alive themselves.
