Hello, fellow residents of Hadriel. I'm Sato.

I'd hoped I'd have something more important to say the first time I posted anything publicly, but it turns out I just have a question for all of you.

You see, where I'm from, there's no such thing as magic. But I know that many of you are from places where it really does exist in one form or another. So to those of you out there, I'd really like to hear from you about how it works, who can learn it, and anything else you wouldn't mind sharing.

After all, with dragons flying around, this seems like as good a time as any to talk about the fantastical.

[Sato opts not to take the hint, because here's him asking. Instead he does make sure to sound a little more understanding and kindly, since the reason for Sans' reticence isn't very clear. Who wouldn't trust this sweet old man?]

It's okay. Even if not very many other people appreciate it, I'm sure whatever you can do is very interesting to a person like me, born into a world without any kind of magic... why don't you do a little something right now?

Not really one for theatrics. But since you asked so nice...

[He materializes a few blue knucklebones in the air that hover there, inert, before dissipating harmlessly.]

Nothin' special, really.

Oh! That's still a pretty unique skill. And you mentioned your brother does fancier magic?

Yep. He can do proper blue attacks and everything.

[Not to say Sans can't, he just...prefers not to. That's all.]

Those're the ones that only hurt ya if you move through 'em.

I suppose it would be too much to hope that he's around as well?

[He materializes another row of knucklebones, the lot of them again emanating a low-level cyan glow. Blue attacks, see?]

Oh yeah, he's around. Big tall skeleton, likes to say "Nyeh heh heh!" Can't miss him.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for him.

Which reminds me, now that we're talking... [He add pleasantly:] shouldn't you be out wandering the caverns if you're a monster?

Nope.

[He pops the "p" airily, as if he ain't heard that quite enough before. Real damn sick of hearin' it, but what can you do? He's too lazy to get all offended and twisted in knots over a thing like that.]

[He's gettin' a stronger and stronger bead on this guy's personality the longer he talks, boy!]

For one, most of the other guys here don't talk so much as they just try to chew your face off.

I suppose that's true. We'll all just have to hope that you don't change your mind one of these days.

[Sans's grin widens, but it's far from pleased. Very, very far from it.]
