Hello, fellow residents of Hadriel. I'm Sato.

I'd hoped I'd have something more important to say the first time I posted anything publicly, but it turns out I just have a question for all of you.

You see, where I'm from, there's no such thing as magic. But I know that many of you are from places where it really does exist in one form or another. So to those of you out there, I'd really like to hear from you about how it works, who can learn it, and anything else you wouldn't mind sharing.

After all, with dragons flying around, this seems like as good a time as any to talk about the fantastical.

It's always hard to tell here, isn't it? The number of people I've met here that aren't familiar with what I consider to be modern technology, let alone video games... [There's a little bit of a frown here, actual disappointment. Not knowing about modern media is a terrible tragedy.]

But simply, that there have been tales of magic for thousands of years where I'm from. And in all that time, it's never been confirmed. I can think of times when I would have been very glad to see it, but there was never any such luck here, I'm afraid.

I guess it's probably pretty likely that it doesn't exist for you, then. [ She'll still argue that it's possible, however. ] And if it makes you feel any better, I know what video games are. I don't really play them all that much, but I'm definitely aware of their existence.

That you'll have to ask someone else; I just got here and I haven't really researched too much on the gods and what they're doing to "help." [ Yes, that "help" comes with airquotes. ]
