Consider the following exercise in critical thinking, if you can tear yourselves away from gossiping about each others' love lives long enough to put some actual thought into formulating an answer:

If you had never before encountered a being like yourself before - a human, for example, or however you classify yourself - what would you most want to know about these beings? What are the most important concepts that are fundamental to your existence?

Moderately high. At least for myself. I was raised to observe them.

Most people are. Some discard such lessons over time, once they find they're no longer of any use.

I've kept to them, for the most part. I am more assertive than I was raised to be in childhood, but as I gained more life experience, I realized some of the expectations I was raised with were unreasonable.

And what sort of expectations would those be?

That a Lady must be composed at all times, keep herself looking beautiful, and her husband's estate well managed and any children the couple had well-behaved.

You're right. Those are archaic, unreasonable expectations.
