second; voice (i hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record.)
[Nick's voice is raspier than usual, the way voices get when their owners have been screaming, or crying, or possibly both.]
You know what, you motherfucker? I'm coming back to haunt your ass after I'm dead. See how you like it.

[His messages are a little slower than usual since he's having to correct a lot of typos.]
But you saw Hope's post, right?
[text] - 1/2
[Because of course she just flipped out and made her own post before looking at anything else.]
[text]
lol big fcuking help that is
[text]
[Better than telling people to start looking in random places. Also Rage's addition to the post helps confirm that they're indeed buried, not just shoved in a box in a corner somewhere, which isn't really reassuring but more info is better than less.]

[Though who knows how many, or how fast they'll be, or who they'll find in what order and if there will be enough time to--
Stop, that isn't helpful.]
[text]
[Friends are people who care if he stays alive. What, she's not bitter.]
[text]
Besides, Hope didn't give any names to go with the locations so it's pretty random who gets found when and by who.
Try and stay calm, okay?
[He knows this really, really sucks, but it'll only suck more if they give up on being rescued.]
[text] cw slight self injury
She likes Chris a lot, and that says something, because Nick doesn't like people on general principle. She knows what he's saying when he says she has friends here - she means him. And most people would be comforted by that, especially under these circumstances, but not Nick. She doesn't believe there's anything truly likable about her, can't imagine why anyone would want her as a friend. Andy didn't, after all - even after everything they'd been through together. So she doesn't really believe what Chris says, not because she thinks he's a liar, but because she thinks he just doesn't know her well enough. If he did, she thinks, he wouldn't like her very much, and he wouldn't claim to be her friend for very long.
It's pointless to argue about this, though. Chris might be optimistic about being rescued, but all Nick can see in the dark is doom. It won't matter much what he thinks of her when they're all dead.]
yea i will. thx.
[Because that's easier than being honest, about just how afraid she is that she's going to die and everything she never accomplished in her stupid life will be the biggest fucking cosmic joke. About how afraid she is that if she does somehow manage to survive this, all she has waiting for her above ground is more heartbreak.]
2 quiet in here. wish i had music. thats what i miss most about home.
[text]
Distraction's probably the best way to go about it, for now.]
I would've said pizza first, but yeah music's a close second.
[He actually hasn't thought about music much, which surprises him a little to realize, but considering how thoroughly his life had been turned upside-down maybe it's not that weird that a few thing he would've considered essential before is now relatively unimportant.]
I wonder if there's anyone here that can play instruments or sing or something.

[text]
Any kind of pizza. Except the whole pineapple thing.
[Not that he wouldn't eat pineapple pizza anyway, especially now, but still.]
[text]
[Nick hasn't thought about singing in a long while, at least since Kennedy left, and that was well before Nick herself left Chicago. It was her band, really - Nick was the last to join, the only one who didn't play an instrument, the only one who didn't know how to write songs, until Kennedy showed her.
And Kennedy is ... not what Nick wants to be thinking about, at this moment.]
maybe. could work a 4track tape recorder if u find 1.
[text]
We'll have to see if we can find one later. I think you could record on your phone too, though.
[text]
[Oh. She hadn't actually thought of that. It's not a bad idea, actually.]
shitty sound quality tho i bet.
[Still ... it's better than nothing. Maybe it's worth trying.]
u think i could record it & send 2 u?
[text]
[It'll be a fun project, and something to look forward to. For both of them.]

[Though now that she's thinking about it, she wonders what kind of effect a cave echo might have on amplifying her Morphus scream. She files that thought away to think on more when and if she doesn't die here under the ground.]
what kinda music do u like?
[text]
[He really likes the unusual effects that can be added with computer, and the different types of processing.]
