So, uh. I've been told that I should get out more. Meet people. I'm not any good at that, so you're just gonna have to--bear with me as I figure this shit out. But I guess I've gotta bite the bullet sometime, right?

[she looks off camera and flushes slightly out of a combination of nerves and embarrassment]

Anyway, I'm George. I'm newish. I have--no fucking idea what I'm doing here. Does anyone? If you do, could you please fill me in.

No one knows what they're doing here at first. It's mostly about keeping busy for awhile until you find your purpose... like I garden and work at the clinic. What did you do back home? Maybe there's a need for it here.

Well, the thing is, there isn't a lot of things to do here. There're bar, the speakeasy, there's lookin' for food or maybe taking walks by the river... Personally, I go get myself lost in the caves a lot and go fight monsters, but I know that ain't for everyone. It could be if you want, though. I do weapons training.

You name it, I know it. Pick somethin' out of the armory you like, and I can teach you how to use it. I'm a military combat expert, ya see. I've been finding the broadsword to be pretty effective against the monsters, personally.

I've spent way more time in the Speakeasy than anywhere else. Not even to drink anything really, it's just that there are people always there.

Well, hello there George, I'm Rydia and I've been here for a while.

I think everyone tries to do whatever interest them the most, in my case I spend an awful lot of time in the local library but I know there's a bar and people tend to gather there.

Uhn... once you cross the river reaching Delight's temple you proceed a bit to the left until you see a big building, that's the library. It's a mess, to be fair, and I'm just dividing books between unreadable ones, blank ones and those that are just garbage...

Pell taught me to garden. Some other guy--I forgot to get his name--is offering to teach me self defense. And I asked Rydia if she needed help with the library. So, some progress?

Those are all pretty good things to keep you busy. [She smiles and nods.]

I look for food and supplies a lot, and I'm teaching one of the younger girls here how to fight. That kind of thing.
