Video 7 - Sewing Shop

[the video opens on Margaery in the Sewing Shop, dressed of course to impress and show off her work. what is unusual is that she's holding a sword in her lap and that the Shop looks like it's been scrubbed from ceiling to floor and everything in between.

what may also be unusal to those who can notice such things, there have been magical wards placed around the Shop to deter violence and keep certain types of beings out.

Margaery smiles welcomingly at the camera, although those who know her well enough can tell that it's a little forced]

Hello, everyone! The Sewing Shop is open again to attend to your needs. Can you not find what you're looking for in the shops? Or are you just plain sick of wearing the same things day in, day out? Come in and request whatever you need. The only payment I require is a bolt of fabric from Tranquility.

I also give sewing lessons to those who wish to learn.

[ This is what happens when you have a younger brother who likes making clothes, basically ]

I suspect that is because damaged folk provide more volatile - and thus easier to elicit - emotions, for our hosts to feed.

...that seems likely. They really do think of everything, don't they?

Not everything. [ He gives her a wry grin ] But clearly, they have - or the Door has - taken some things into account. And it would make sense that the best, ah... food sources, be one of those things.

[no, Loras would've gotten into trouble no matter what. he was incapable of being discreet in his liaisons]

Ugh. I do hate that we're trapped under their thumbs. If they simply asked us to feel certain things, most of us likely would. Instead, the force the feelings upon us without regard for us.

[ Oh well, at least he would have been able to clothes himself... ]

Aye - that was my thought also. There is little left for me in my home - I would have come willing, if they had but bothered to ask!

[there would've been that. but Loras' inability to keep his affairs secret led to the downfall of House Tyrell]

[she asks, despite the flare of jealousy in her heart at the thought]

[ He shakes his head ]

I am the last. [ He says simply ]

[she stops what she's been doing and goes to him] Then they must arrange it so that I may visit. I cannot abide the idea of you spending your years all alone.

[ He finishes the cut neatly and then looks up and smiles at her ]

Thank you, Margaery. I will be fine, I promise. It is what it is.

[she looks concerned]

It may be, but I can still want to visit, can I not?

[ He smiles wryly ]

I don't know how easy I will be to find, Margaery! But yes, if you come, I will not turn you away.

[she looks earnest]

Then. . . would you tell me where to look for you? Because I will come.

[ Maglor laughs softly - something wry and old in the sound of it ]

I would, only I do not know for certain. I am a wanderer, Margaery. All I can tell you is that I will, almost certainly, be on the westernmost shores by the sea.

The westernmost shores by the sea. It must be beautiful there.

It can be.

[ He hums ]

The shores are already so different to when I first arrived there. It used to be very desolate, but Men are ever expanding.

Are they moving into your territory?

A wanderer has no territory of his own. But yes, I suppose you could say that.

But if you and your people were there first, surely it's yours.

[ He laughs merrily at the thought ]

Oh hardly! I don't go near Elven settlements - the wilds of the coasts don't belong to anyone.

So there's room enough to share? Assuming that the other is willing to share, of course.

Even so. The lands are wide and wild still. I do not imagine they will remain that way forever, now that the King has returned, but it will be many years yet before folk are willing to leave the safety of the larger, fortified towns.

The way you describe your home makes it sound so beautiful. But, the King has returned? That's a story I've not yet heard.

[ He nods ]

Aye - the King of the Reunited Kingdoms of Gondor and Anor. Long have both thrones been empty, but at last, at last, there is one who has proven his worth to hold them, by right of blood as well as action.
