[Lance looks a little over life at the moment, which most of his friends probably recognize as his standard look when not being purposefully professional. He's not bothering with the latter right now, both because he's a bit annoyed and because he thinks it would be pointless, so instead everyone gets normal, slightly bitchy Lance.]
Okay, I wish I could say that I can't believe I have to remind people of this, but vigilante justice is not exactly the best idea here. Not only is it morally wrong to just declare yourself to have the authority to decide who is and isn't deserving of 'justice', but it's logically wrong too; you're just going to cause problems, not solve them.
I'm not saying not to intervene when something's actively happening, but going after someone days or weeks later is just starting the whole process of retaliation all over again. So can everyone just take their egos down a notch and, if they're concerned about someone being an active threat or something, work on coming up with some sort of solution that isn't going to make things worse as soon as it's done?
[This is not the first time he's had to go into this discussion while here--or at home--and so that's why he's being extra short about it. He's also not just talking about the recent incident, it's simply what prompted him to say something this time.]

[Ignis speaks dryly. His own opinion of Caedra is quite concrete - she is a threat, her existence is a threat in itself. That, however, is not something that can be removed in a way he would prefer (his general tolerance of demons being nil), and so it must be simply mitigated.
It's irritating.]
Given the length of time between then and now, I'd venture to assume that something else has happened more recently. Something less public, perhaps.

[Although if Nick did talk to her and that stopped the first rampage, then it's even more evidence that talking is the way to go. Especially since she hasn't summoned any more demons, at least not on that scale.]
Maybe, although considering the people here I wouldn't put it past someone to be retaliating late. It's happened before.
[Not just with Caedra, but others.]
no subject
He would readily admit, though, that Lance has a point.]
It wouldn't be unheard of. [He sighs, pushing his glasses up into his hair to pinch the bridge of his nose and squeeze his eyes shut.]
This entire thing adds an unnecessary difficulty that we could certainly do without at this point in time.

[They could be focusing on dealing with other issues, but alas--]
I guess that's just one of the struggles of being here, though. Dealing with each other when we make... Less than stellar decisions.
[To put it mildly. But no use in lamenting the new problem, because really if it hadn't been this someone else would've done something different but probably just as unwise.]
no subject
An unavoidable hazard, in a place as small as this one.
[In a place they're all but forced to deal with one another on a daily basis... a place where the actions of one person can have their impact on everybody, no matter the intent.]
And I would posit that being angry about it holds little use, either. The cycle needs to be stopped somewhere.
no subject
[Instead of just taking over and causing people to act on it without thinking.]
Fortunately we have a month before Caedra will be an issue, so there's time for emotions to settle.
no subject
It may be worth placing someone on guard near to her when the month begins to come to an end. Someone who can talk to her, or restrain her if it becomes necessary.
[Despite his feelings on the subject, and Caedra herself, he would hope that restraining her would not be necessary. It could easily exacerbate the situation.]
no subject
[Or, if they're really lucky, it'll be completely unnecessary and everything will go smoothly.]
no subject
[If they're really lucky, she'll just never thaw out. That would be Ignis' angle of luck, in any case.]
Has this mysterious vigilante said exactly why they were prompted to attack her?
no subject
[Especially since he's not directly involved, and he's a bit of a control freak.]
They haven't, no. Nothing beyond what was in their post.
no subject
Like now, when the flickers at the edges of his vision push in again and he's momentarily distracted before he answers.]
... Interesting. [Perhaps someone ought to, but then, in the end, the motives ceased to matter the moment he froze the demon.] I'll wish you luck, then. And I offer my aid, should you find yourself in need of it.
no subject
[And he means that, even if he doubts he'll take Ignis up on his offer. But Ignis also seems distracted a bit, and so it's probably best to let him get to whatever he's thinking about, especially since everything important has been covered.
So he offers a small nod of farewell before disconnecting.]
