So uh... Hey everyone. Again.

I know like, a bunch of people just arrived so... Welcome, I guess. We're still working on the newbie's guide to waking up in a cave-city run by gods, but until then like, if you have any questions I can try and help? Also uh, it's probably safe at this point and we're just being paranoid, but you may want to avoid eating any meat products you find here. For reasons.

Also uh, sort of related, but I was thinking that maybe before next month we should really... Plan some way to help out? I mean, people just sort of show up and half the time there's monsters too, and... Maybe some sort of organized thing for helping the new people not get like, eaten or whatever would be a good idea.

[This is not exactly his area of expertise, so if other people want to take charge on this he's more than happy to let them, but otherwise he'll try and figure something out. It really seems like something important to get established.]

In uh, a rare moment of good news though, the whole coffee thing worked out. So if you want coffee there's some at Delight's bar now, though you'll have to like... Be kind of patient with me and the others being possibly terrible baristas. Still kind of getting the hang of the whole thing.

[But surely coffee itself is well worth any less-than-practiced customer service; they're at least pretty good at making coffee, including somewhat elaborate drinks, and as far as Chris is aware they're all trying. That's what counts, right?

I think that's about it, except for that like... If anyone's curious, the handheld games from the arena this month are just normal games. I thought maybe they'd be some sort of weird alien-versions of them, but I guess not; I took one apart and it was all the expected stuff inside it.

That said I'm totally betting I can beat anyone's high scores.

Is it decent coffee? I only ask because I am use to decent coffee. [And he has high standards while playing a noble.]

I never had much time for games. Having it not on a board is rather new to me as well.

[And Chris had been totally happy to go along with that. Bad coffee is better than no coffee, but good coffee is way better than both.]

Unfortunately there's like, kind of a lot of time here to fill, in between whatever terrible shit is going down.

[It really is considering Tyki was not a morning person at all. He could get up if he had to easily. Just when faced with a choice of whether to get up or not, he chose the latter. Tyki here in this place slept until at least ten.]

I miss a good breakfast to wake up to in the morning. I would kill just to have at least one of our chefs available. [He probably shouldn't say that so lightly.]

There is. I'm not sure what to do with myself half the time. The lack of entertainment besides these 'video games' is disappointing.

A good breakfast would be pretty awesome. Wonder if someone can trade something to Delight that convinces her to provide food at the bar.

Yeah. I mean, I usually had like, school work to be avoiding doing, but avoiding doing stuff is a lot different from having nothing to do.

Eggs, toast, bacon, warm pancakes. A smooth coffee with a glass of water. Pineapple or apples for a topping. Maybe even a waffle.

The Earl kept me on a busy schedule though I did have some free time occasionally. I can't complain at the lack of work in any case.

Well, I was having meals like that until I was brought here.

[Steaks, wine, good food in general. Ugh, he so wants it.]

I am a Lord. The head of my family is an Earl. It is only natural to work for the family if only for social obligations.

I was a college student, so I was mostly having pizza and ramen noodles.

[Not that he's complaining; he'd love pizza. At least they can find ramen here off and on.]

Okay, I admit I have like... No idea how any of the titles work, but it sounds interesting. What uh... What exactly do you do?

I've heard of those things but I can't recall of I've eaten them often or at all.

[Noble life came with exceptionally high quality food. Chances are he's seen ramen but pizza? Probably not.]

Anything he wants. Sometimes jobs of recruitment or sealing deals. Sometimes it is just the matter of accompanying him and bolstering the family's reputation. [Some of the odd jobs were killing but that was just because the enemy was the enemy.]

You'd probably know if you had pizza, but ramen's uh... Kind of forgettable.

I think it's Japanese, but maybe? I mean, a whole bunch of countries have noodles, so.

It can be if it is something I want to do. The meetings and long talks can be tiring on the mind.

You'll forgive me if I don't know what a dunkin doughnuts is but the title alone gives away at least the context. I meant not offense, ma'am. I simply have high expectations if I am going to exert the effort to obtain something such as coffee so early and not from my own room.

nobody said you had to get up early to get coffee. i might be the only one in this house who gets up at a decent hour anyway. we have the cart, and there's coffee at the bar. im pretty sure delight will be at the bar whenever and will serve you coffee so long as you promise to be happy about it

I don't know. If I get to sleep in as long as I want to with no obligations I may not want coffee. There's no need for me to do so when I have the pleasure of sleeping in. Though I haven't had a cup of anything quality like in a while. The beer here is not to my standards and a good wine is hard to find. Again, depends on the coffee and how it tastes as far as being happy. Though I wouldn't want to disappoint a lovely lady like Delight.
