Listen up, so there's this giant triangle-headed asshole dragging an enormous cleaver around. His name is Pyramid Head, and if he catches you, he will rip your skin off, disembowel you, and then play with your insides. For fun. Trust me, avoid him at all costs. Stay in a temple if you need to. In fact, considering how much more fucked up this place just got, I'd even recommend it at this point. This guy is way faster than he looks and he has zero mercy for anyone. It doesn't matter how powerful you think you are, Pyramid Head will rip you in half. Literally.

[Newt debates between text and video, but finally settles for Video because he likes Sans and that means, for better or for worst, that Newt trusts him]

First of all, he was a pretty consistent figure in the last hellhole I was stuck in. [Bitter? Newt? No....] And the only reason I'm alive is that Lilith teleported or phased or whatever'd me out of there before he could chop me in half. I mean, not the first time something has tried to kill me, but I've got way too many bad memories associated with this jerk already. [he hasn't noticed his voice has gone a little shaky at that last bit]

[Yeah, gonna tread lightly here. He doesn't know everything about Newt's life history before this place, but he knows enough to know it wasn't pretty. Maybe there is a connection between there and here. He'll consider that at length. Privately, and also another time.

He keeps speaking levelly, as nonchalant as he can manage. That tremor in Newt's voice didn't go unnoticed, but that's not a good time for anyone.]

[Yeah so Wade's been sticking to Newt like warts on a toad these past few days. Ever since that horrible caricature of himself teleported into their lives, he's not going to leave things up to chance that any of his friends here aren't going to suffer an ignoble death by its hands. It'd just be downright embarrassing. Coupled with the fact that their old friend P. Hiddy seems to have followed them from the festering hellhole that was Haven, and Wade's not moving from Newt's side at all.

He owes it to Travis.

Newt's sudden outburst startles him, distracts him from fiddling with his holographic watch, though he supposes it's not completely out of character. Dude still wears the scars of his time in Haven (in some cases, even literally) and they're all still feeling a little jumpy-- even Wade, who'd spent the better part of a year in what amounted to Space Vegas after the fact. PTSD isn't something that can be fucked away, unfortunately.

Still, Wade figures he might as well acknowledge Newt's anger... in his own sensitive way, of course.]

Yeah. Definitely do that. [he knows Sans has those teleportation powers (at least, that's what he's labeled it in his head)] Just don't get stuck in any walls either, yeah? [look, it's an attempt at a joke!!]

[Newt scowls a bit, though not at Wade, shoving the phone in his pocket once the post is made and ended]

My blood pressure's fine. Probably low or something, even. [he snorts] Anyway, she deserved it, and people deserve to know what to watch out for.

Oh, I'm pretty sure he couldn't do math to save his life.

[Mettaton's a robot of many talents, and he could probably make a hell of a show out of it, but actual science? Nah, that was always Alphys's thing.]

But...yeah, I'll do my best. Don't worry about me, okay?

[Emily has stepped up a few feet away from him, off to his side. Her arms are crossed, but her glare is half-hearted at best. She's so fucking tired of this shit.]

I don't know, because he's a sick twisted monster whose only purpose in life is to murder people in painful ways? I dunno, dude, I haven't exactly sat down and talked to him about it!

Oh, well, look who it is! [Because Newt is GREAT at talking to people on a regular basis, this is just gonna go so much better now that he's mad] And I got it from the last dimension I was kidnapped to, from the Corporation that tortured us and used that dickhead to do it, and to guard all of their secrets!

It's a little hard not to know something that haunts your steps on a daily basis!

[There's a moment where the camera dips and gives Newt a spectacular view of the ground, and a single slipperclad foot. Then the feed...well, something happens to it. It stutters, and then it's back on Sans's face.]
