God, how she's missed being able to text. ]

Have you ever done something you regret? That you're ashamed of?
Maybe it's a lot of things. It is for me.

How do you deal with that now?
Did you find a way to make it better or did you just ignore it until it went away?
(The latter is my strategy. Hasn't worked out so well, let me tell you.)

I have trouble sometimes with it all still.
I try to do better, but...
Trying only gets you so far sometimes.

I've killed people. It seems to depend on the person whether or not that's a big deal, but-

I did it first because I had no choice. Then because I was angry. Now because I have a hard time stopping myself when I lose control.

Truthfully, dearheart? It's never, ever not a big deal. It becomes easy, in a place like this, where the local gods are willing to revive us, to treat it that way. I have been guilty of this.

I have been a terrible person, in my time. I have done dreadful things. One thing I do know, though, is that redemption - forgiveness - are very real, are always possible.

It does kind of lose its point when you can just come back, doesn't it?

[ People in Haven after a time didn't though and... Well, she never hurt anyone then. But before when she knew it was only temporary it didn't seem as much of a big deal. As terrible of a thing to eat a person now and again. They'd just come back anyway. Traumatized, maybe, but they'd still be alive. ]

I'd like to believe that. I'm sure it's gonna take me a long, long time to be redeemed though. Guess it's a good thing I'm in this place for the long haul... Or at least they decide to kick me out, I suppose.
