God, how she's missed being able to text. ]

Have you ever done something you regret? That you're ashamed of?
Maybe it's a lot of things. It is for me.

How do you deal with that now?
Did you find a way to make it better or did you just ignore it until it went away?
(The latter is my strategy. Hasn't worked out so well, let me tell you.)

I have trouble sometimes with it all still.
I try to do better, but...
Trying only gets you so far sometimes.

and yeah, it does kind of suck
my science friends are doing alright though they don't have much to work with
and hey, grass is always greener on the other side
i wish I could just leave or stay out of trouble
but I got a mean fighting instinct and sometimes I can't help but run headlong into trouble, y'know?

i feel useless just... studyin stuff and failing all the time

since like if a physicist messes up it was all theory
for me its a big waste of material lmao

well no um
we live underground
we were sealed there by humans thousands of years ago
so anything we get needs to come from the mountain
or from human stuff falling in
so getting good metals and parts is like
hard as heck
lots of taking apart toasters n stuff

[ Rose struggles with that, too. She wants her friends to be happy and free, but she also would hate to be without them. Especially considering how quickly she lost it last time without their support. ]

humans are capable of the same things 'monsters' are
but I've also seen monsters capable of great things, so
sometimes I wonder what really makes us so different
at least in my world
it could be different other places
