Third ☂ Text
Many of you seem to be unhappy.
We don't all necessarily want you to be happy, but acceptance and adaptation to your situation would be a start. The only question that remains is: how?
It is clear to us that your species resolves many issues through communication. Unfortunately, none of us understand the human psyche as clearly as others of your species, and so I leave it to you to communicate with and to help one another.
You may consider this post an open forum in which you can discuss what's been bothering you. In turn, I will conceal your identities, so that you may help one another without preconceived biases. If you'd like to reveal yourselves to one another, the option is there, but unnecessary.
Heal. Recover.
I'll leave you to it.

[anon]
[Not speaking from experience, of course.]
[anon]
[anon]
[Because that's where he lives in his free time these days.]
I can even brew it right in front of you, if you'd like.
[anon]
On the other hand, it's only one person, and nobody's forcing her to say anything further.]
No questions asked?
[anon]
[anon]
I'll be at the bar before the light fades.
[Marian does not go out at night without a damn good reason.]
[anon] → [action]
[And so he is -- and lo and behold, it's the guy who nearly got his leg torn off for a flytrap. He's not the only person in the bar, but he's the only person in the corner, and definitely the only one with papers, an ink pen, and a couple of mugs before him.]
[action]
Well, at least there's one positive thing here. He doesn't exactly seem like a suspicious character, unlike certain other bony or icy monstrosities she's seen roaming the city.
She sighs, and makes her way over to his table, slumping into a seat.]
It's you, isn't it.
[She says flatly, tired. It's about time to just give up. Magic, sure, whatever.]
no subject
Ah, the woman who didn't know what magic is and questioned my humanity. We meet again.
[There's no malice in his voice as he says that, but it might be the booze talking. Despite the air around him, he seems lucid enough.]
no subject
At least I'm reasonably confident that your... recipe? Concoction? Potion? What exactly is the proper... no, never mind. Let's just say that I'm willing to call it whatever you'd like if it's effective.
no subject
[Tea enchanted through the fine art of glyphcrafting, but tea nonetheless. Such a boring name for something magical.]
You can technically enchant most drinks, but I find water and tea work the best for maintaining the enchantment. I personally like breathing in the steam as opposed to drinking it, but some people do the other or both, and it seems just as effective.
no subject
How long from then until it takes effect?
no subject
[He uncaps his pen and scribbles a glyph much like the one he made for Emily, albeit a little cleaner. He will one day learn how to draw a circle well.]
no subject
We'll see, then. [she concludes.] Is that it?
no subject
Next, he places his fingers on the arc at the bottom of the illustration, and the lines light up bit by bit, filled with energy the way blood would fill a vein. The drink bubbles in the mug, steaming as the light dies and the ink on the paper boils away.
Last, he covers the mug with another piece of paper to keep too much of the steam from escaping into the air around them -- and more importantly, from making them drowsy.]
That is it. Try it out, and it if hasn't the desired effect, I can enchant it stronger, or you can try one of the other methods prescribed to you on the communicator. And if it does work, I can make you some to keep around your dwelling and drink at your leisure.
no subject
If it does work, she'll definitely have a lot more questions. As it is, however...]
It'll be fine to take it back to the apartment like that? I don't exactly plan to drink it here if it could be as fast as you suggest it could be.
no subject
[Note to self: find a way to make this stuff portable for those who cannot enchant the tea themselves.]
no subject
That's fine. And you don't.... want anything in exchange?
[Asked less out of suspicion and more uncertainty over what she could even offer.]
no subject
[Apparently, he thought the same thing. He changes his mind only half a second later:]
Although... you remember that odd plant I had with me last time we met? I... lost mine recently, and if you should come upon another somewhere, I'd like it.
no subject
When and where did you last see it?
no subject
[No, correction:]
... had a garden atop one of the stores. It burned. I lost it along with the others.
[Which might be why he's glued to the bottles of liquor near him.]
no subject
[Too late for a minor favor, then. Marian's fingers curl around the warm cup of tea, and after a brief hesitation, suggests:]
If there's any small incident like that again, I might be able to help. Not much, but a little. I would just need to know sooner rather than later.
[That's about all she can really say. A couple people have seen her device's power in action, but that doesn't mean she wants to go spilling details if it's not necessary. That's just one of many ways to end up with trouble you don't need.]
But if I see a similar plant, I'll let you know. ....thank you.
no subject
Thank you.
[It's just a plant Carlisle... though by how distraught he looks, plants apparently mean a lot to him for one reason or another.]
Let me know if that doesn't work, or if there's anything else I am able to do.
