Hello, everyone! I wanted to remind you that the Sewing Shop is open and ready for business here on the North Island. I can make a wide variety of clothing or embellish that which you already have. You have only to ask.

The only price is that you have to obtain a bolt of fabric from Tranquility in exchange. All manners of fabric are welcome as are all colors.

One of your friends, Party Poison, has approached me about making clothing for all of you. He's already paid in advance, so all you need to do is come over so I can take your measurements and talk to you about what you would like to have.

...perhaps. I would like to think that it's possible.

It would be nice if it could. [ He smiles a little ] But... well. We will have to see, I suppose.

Yes, I suppose. I could always speak to Sorrow some more.

[bythewaves]

Do not put yourself in debt to him. [ He urges her ] But I suppose if he is willing to talk...

Oh, I'll do no such thing. [she reassures him] I don't see why he'd be unwilling to talk?

[bythewaves]

One never knows, with them. [ He grimaces ]

I really don't think they understand us very well. Even the Valar were more discernable - or at least, they learnt to be!

[roseofthetyrells]

No, they don't. I think they're incapable of trying.

[bythewaves]

I'm not sure if they're incapable or just... that ignorant.

[roseofthetyrells]

I think they're ignorant. Their previous hosts had been far more. . . cooperative. We are a far more cantankerous lot.

[bythewaves]

I am not sure if that makes it better or worse. [ He says wryly ]

[roseofthetyrells]

[and she flashes him an equally wry smile] Harder on both of us. After all, they have to provoke us to make us feel the emotion they seek. Their previous hosts could do that on command.

[bythewaves]

Hah! True enough, although I am thinking even if they left us alone they would as like have had plenty of emotions to feed on. Just perhaps not the ones they needed all the time.

[roseofthetyrells]

I'm sure they would! Everyone here is so extreme in their reactions to things, we could keep the so-called gods well fed even without their provocations.

[bythewaves]

Even so! I suppose their argument is that we don't feed the right ones, or something.

[roseofthetyrells]

Perhaps Tranquility might get a bit hungry, but he almost never seems to influence us in the first place.

I suspect he needs the least feeding, perhaps?

It seems that way. More's the pity as this place could use a little tranquility.

[bythewaves]

You and I think that, but I sometimes feel others disagree!

[roseofthetyrells]

They do seem to. This place thrives on drama and conflict. It gets exhausting.

[bythewaves]

It rather does. I suppose it makes for good stories, but I, for one, am quite done with being an actor on the grand stage.

[roseofthetyrells]

As am I. It's strange, though, I've lived my life with so much drama, how will I adjust to an ordinary life?

[bythewaves]

[ He smiles wryly ]

I have lived both! And I very much prefer the boring one.

[roseofthetyrells]

I suppose I will, too, though I'm not sure how boring accompanying Matt on his nighttime outings will be. And becoming a mother! There can be nothing boring about that.

[bythewaves]

There's boring and there's boring. [ Maglor agrees with a laugh ]
