video: still not that kind of doctor
Tomorrow afternoon, we're hosting a class on the clinic on how to stabilize an injured person and then safely move the body, in an environment where the dead come back to life and where there's no serious expectation of sophisticated medical care.
It's going to be utilitarian and potentially grimly upsetting, but I suggest anyone with any kind of a stomach for it come to the clinic for noon. If you're conservative about touch, please bring a partner who you trust to manhandle you in body-lifting exercises. Of course you're welcome to opt out of that portion of the day, if need be.
Please bring donations of any medical supplies, if you can.
If you're new to Hadriel in the last couple of months, I'm Doctor Banner, I'm one of the clinic volunteers. I'm not technically a medical doctor, but since we lost Doctor Pierce, beggars can't be choosers. We've already covered wound care, risk of infection, and stitches and suturing. I'm happy to link you to that material, go over any of it in person, or continue stitching lessons for anyone who needs a refresher. If you'd like to see about volunteering in the clinic, please speak to me here, or get in contact with Kate- she's considerably more organized and better about the follow-through than I am.

It's always good to have our location scouted in advance.

It's brightly painted. You can't miss it.

video --> action.
Coming on in, Dean pokes his head around the corner, looking for the nearest person. ]
Hello?

[Bruce calls, and emerges from a back room, with a tray of medical supplies in hand.]
Dean?

[Not like it was hard. The place is painted white, with a mural of plants and woodland whatnots down around the bottom, and the words for 'clinic' and 'doctor' written in a dozen different languages in huge red letters up the side, including Punjabi and the ever classical Latin.]
Now prepare to be horrified by how under-equipped we are.

Honestly? I'm just kinda impressed that we've got a clinic at all- place doesn't exactly scream hospitality.

[He points out, quietly.]
Early months, we had a military doctor with us- one who'd worked in a mobile army surgical hospital in Korea. That was also when we were having the most monster attacks- things have actually gotten a little better since, now we mostly dispense ace bandages for sprains from all the rubble, and burn cream for the fireflies this month.

Already something to appreciate.

[Good Lord.]

Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures. Not all of us have a clinic around every time we need one.

Can you really see me standing in front of a classroom? I mean, 'a' is for asshole, right?

[Bruce ventures, lightly.]
no subject
But yeah, okay- let's do this. Time for a reveal that he doesn't usually give away so easy but considering this place and its monsters? It seems sort of imperative to fess up quick. ]
I'm ah- i'm a Hunter.

[Says Bruce, now a little more openly acerbic- he'd thought it'd be something like this.]

[ Bring on the sarcasm, buddy. ]
